BRB meetup at the Draft Party?
Just an idea...I know some people have wondered about a live chat on draft day*...for those of you actually in Houston, Steph brings it to my attention that the Texans Draft Party is free to attend, as well as free to park at, if you register your tickets with them online (and shockingly, subscribe yourself to a fan email letter). I'm not sure you can get a much better deal than that on a football related event, so I've signed up for some tickets. Perhaps we can nail down our own table and you can see the look of disgust in my eyes live and in person when we draft CJ Spiller or Maurkice Pouncey**? I know it's been a dream of many.
*-we could always relegate this to some losers that live out of town, like MDC.
**-disgust not guaranteed if this happens after a trade down.

Sounds like a good idea, but
since i’m new, i don’t think i deserve to sit with the cool guys yet.
mind letting a couple of HS students join?

Since you're new
I’ll cut you some slack on thinking that we are cool.
More the merrier, sir.

thanks a lot, man.
though i haven’t been following the texans that closely for the past couple of years, i’ve been a fan since 2002.

FYI
We’ll be drinking. Beer. Lots and lots of beer. And liquor. And depending on who we pick, maybe some Drano, Clorox, or most likely a generic brand. ’Cause that leaves more money for beer. And liquor.

Are you going to the draft party?
If you didn’t live in Mexico, I’d stop by while I’m there.
A Texans fan. Really. No, I'm not kidding.

I think its a splendid idea, also you should all be required to talk the night away using only terms from the BRB glossary.

That should be the secret password.
You can’t sit down at the brb table without knowing it.

I got one
You have to go to everybody there and ask:
“I’ll fist you for food.”
And see what their reaction is.
I’ll try to make it to Houston this weekend, but it really depends on how things are going with work.

No worries
Just making sure before it went up in smoke. Give me a call when you’re in town…if for whatever reason i’m not home it’ll be on the back patio.
Sounds like a good idea.
Do they serve Zima’s?
Because if they don’t, forget about Tim and Scott attending the draft party.
I'm sure they have plenty of other malternative beverages

P-A-R-T-Y? Cuz I gotta....
Haven’t missed a Texans’ draft party yet. Being prime-time on a Thursday night sounds sweet! The only bummer about this year is Matt Jackson won’t be there since he is with 790 now. I have enjoyed shouting a few things his way every year since he & I had a shouting match after the Texans passed on Derrick Johnson for Travis Johnson! Of course, this could be my year to finally see the Texans draft a Longhorn in the first round after so many near misses! :)
Will there be a secret hand signal identify members or shall we wear a blue rose on our jersies?

I'll see if I can make it,
Fridays are usually a bad day for me to do something like this but, sounds like fun. I get some tickets now just in case. (will any of the comicle writers be there to accidently spill my beer on?)

If anyone has ideas for a meetup spot inside, this’d be a good place to discuss them.

It's on the club level
And since the only time I spend on that level is draft day, I’m not too familiar. Last year there was a 610 broadcast booth to the right as you come in with a large big screen behind it. Perhaps that would be a good place?
"380 pounds of pure pirogi" ~ Cush
This is an idea.
Everyone huddle up near the side of radio booth. Tell them you can’t hear them from across the room.if they give you flack. Like you care.

Club Level is Level 3
This level has an open bar area, food vendor windows, seating/tables, TV screens throughout.

Here’s a link that will give you the PDF view, better than the picture I posted above.
Here’s a view of the West Club set up for casino night:

It’s really just a very long room with one side looking into the stadium and the other side towards the elevators/escalators/ramps.
I suppose if all of the stars, moons and planets align it could be possible, but what are the chances of that?
im down.
somebody tweet me the info and i’ll be there
