Report: Leigh Bodden Will Re-Up With New England
After spending Monday visiting with the Texans at Reliant Stadium, free agent cornerback Leigh Bodden has decided to re-sign with New England, according to multiple reports.
However, agent Alvin Keels posted on Twitter that reports of Bodden returning to New England are premature and that nothing will be official before Tuesday at the earliest, which means he's got an agreement that hasn't been signed.
So...nothing official yet, but it doesn't look good. I'm not holding my breath.
UPDATE: It's official.

Ignore this FanPost; it’s a failed attempt at humor.
Additionally, I’d ask that everyone refrain from bombarding Big Cat Country with similar fake news. Just bide your time until the draft, when Tim Tebow will become the newest Jaguar.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...
It's ok

Meh
I’d of liked him, but its obvious he wanted to stay in New England.
I’m more concerned what McNair does with this leftover cash now. How about making the ridiculous parking pass prices go down for season tickets this year?
Re: Leftover Cash
I bet DeMeco has some ideas about how to put that extra dough to good use.

Obvious? I wish.
As local Boston writer Tom E. Curran put it, Bodden’s agent Alvin Keels “could screw up a one-car funeral.” (Remember the Bengals’ ’09 draft pick Andre Smith circus?)
“Someone” had to have leaked out the Bodden to New England deal and afterwards Keels is tweeting his fingers off that there is no deal. Yet. At least this confusion will supposedly end sometime today.
Keep the faith!
Surely
The fact that Pancakes is saying that he is headed back to NE means that he’s signing with us, amirite?

But pancakes does like to dissappoint, so I’m guessing he was throwing darts and just got this one right.

That's what I thought...
Until Adam Schefter reported it. And he is pretty much money when it comes to things like this.
us not signing bodden must mean we are going to go DB in the first round.
knowing smithiak, they won’t take another DT because as far as i know, they think okoye is still is not a bust. this whole deal was a lot of bull shit though. we had to offer bodden maybe 2 or 3 more million and we could have landed him.
