PrintI would like to comment on the 'fuck Dunta' comments that continue to plague my favorite blog. The first time I saw the comment I remember thinking that it was a funny and deserved attack on a player that was ungrateful, tactless and unprofessional. As I'm sure we all know, Dunta is no longer employed by our beloved Houston Texans. He is probably still riding the high of having pulled off the biggest con of the offseason. Good for him and better for us. He is finally getting the money he so dearly thought he deserved, and we no longer have to put up with his shenanigans. However, for some reason, his presence is still felt. Not through ties of any sort to the team, but with comments, jokes and polls. The joke has become an annoying, screechy broken record. It no longer comes off as funny, but rather as an overused, lazy and desperate attempt at humor. I propose that on this day of the first round of the 2010 NFL draft, we usher in a new sense of change and replace any hatred with Dunta with a sense of hope and optimism towards our new rookie CB(s).

That’s kind of ironic in a way because from what I remember, it was DaGoat that started the “fuck dunta” instead of “first”

I think he'll always stand as a reminder
A reminder of what not to do and an example of how not to act. OD and DeMeco have already learnt the lesson and at least for one of them, it has paid off.
The Fans and the FO won’t tolerate behavior like that and now the players know it.

Disagree on OD (slight thread jack)
Dude hasn’t learned. He’s still the only guy not to sign his tender even though he’ll keep telling you how he wants to be here and how he wants to be with his team and what not. The guy still wants to hold out after blowing out his knee for a third time.
Gresham at 20! I bet this is OD’s last year with the team unless we pay him like 6 mil a year and the city throws him a party and unveils his contract in a platnium and diamond encrusted case (for him to keep of course) and we all bow before his awesomeness and recognize that he is the TE of all TE’s and that Pat Willis told him he could say that.

But he isn't holding out.
He is working with the team as much as he can. And while he hasn’t signed his tender, he has signed an agreement with the team to cover everyone’s ass through training camp if he is injured again.
He is hoping to prove that he is back to full health and to give his agent time to come to a long term deal.

I disagree with you
I think alot of you guys are being little girls about it… who cares! This is a blog and the F~Dunta comments don’t bother me in the slightest. One of the reasons I like this site is because of the humor. F~Dunta, Beledat, etc.

Of the Fuck Dunta brigade (in fact, I may have actually founded it) I can say with full certainty that it got old a long time ago.
