So, I was perusing ESPN when I saw this:
And I immediately thought about the possibilities of us signing him. Now, I know that Faneca is old (32) but I don't think he is washed up yet, in fact I could see him having 1-3 good years left in him. Those years start to look especially attractive when compared to the guard play we saw last year. If it's true that the Jets are going to cut him, then that means that we don't have to worry about his big salary, and can probably convince him to sign a more reasonable deal. I had heard a few people bring this up in different draft threads, and I think that this would be a great signing. Based on that article, it doesn't seem like Faneca had a bad year, he is just slightly older, and slightly more expensive than the Jets want. So, what say you Battle Red Nation, since the Texans didn't really address the interior line in the draft, do you think we should go after Alan Faneca?
