How we fit the TE's
So after this draft we have these TE's (not including undrafted):
OD, Dreesen, Hill, Casey, Graham, Dickerson
So first off, I think Dickerson will be great at WR which the Texans will make him (can someone say marques colston!) Then I think at least one of these get traded and I think one of our Wr's. Our Wr's include AJ, KW, JJ, DA, now Dickerson, Holliday, and Andre Davis. I think Andre Davis gets traded along with I believe Joel Dreesen. I think if the Texans can pick up someone for those 2 (even a future 5th or wtvr, then that will help clean up our roster a bit. Andre Davis is not really needed because of Holliday (who I am SOOOOO Excited about!)
How do you think we solve our WR/TE situation?

we're not goin to use all of our draft picks
some will be cut..i think
All TE Offense!
So, I know someone joked about this in one of the threads. But add to those six Barwin, Winston, and Earl Mitchell, all former TEs and we have 9. Need two more to fill out an offense.
Am I missing anyone? Can we do it?!
Or we run my newly developed Texans I-Formation
I am trademarking it and planning to sell it to Kubes..

the only TE with any trade value is OD

Make that happen please!
a second rounder or even better a good FS for OD
dude is like 57
what is the point in signing a guy for one year of production?

we need a fs
why not take a good vet,and maybe draft someone next year, plus he would be a good mentor for our young secondary
Cause unlike our current FS...
In his 13 year career, he has never played fewer than 13 games in a season.
He is a big studier and has a wealth of knowledge on QB tendencies (ESPN did a piece on this). That knowledge alone could help our young DBs.
He averages 93.8 tackles, 6 INTs, 1 TD, 10 PDs, and nearly 1 FF a season. That is INCREDIBLY better than Eugene Wilson (Missed 12 games in 2 seasons in Houston….averages: about 50 tackles, 2 INTs, 5 PDs, and a tad above 0 and 0 on TDs and FFs).
A 2 year deal, he anchors the DBs and produces. Flat out better.

In a lot of defenses...
the FS makes all the calls for the secondary. I’d love to have Darren Sharper making those calls with his knowledge and experience.

Eugene Wilson plays well
but yeah he gets injured too often. If both he and Barber go down this year, Kubiak will have to call the Taco Bell John Busing now works at to see if he can take time off to play ball. Whatever happened to the 7th round safety we drafted last year?
If you mean Nolan then he was out on IR.
Wilson plays well, but the comparison is pretty stark:
Sharper (career averages): 93 tackles, 6 INTs, 1 FF, 10 PDs, 1 TD
Wilson: 50 Tackles, 2 INTs, 5 PDs, 0.2 FF and TD
When you add Sharper’s study habits and knowledge of QB tendencies and play recognition….it’s not even close.
