Dielles not moving...Adibi will!

The Texans will move Xavier Adibi from weak-side to strong-side linebacker in preparation for Brian Cushing's four-game suspension.

Zach Diles will stay on the weak side, instead of returning to his old SAM post for the season's first month. Though athletic, Adibi will likely be a liability in run defense if he beats out Danny Clark and rookie Daryl Sharpton. Source: Houston Chronicle Related: Zach Diles

I don't like it

Diles is MUCH better against the run and is more physical that Adibi. We are really really gonna be leaning on Demeco and Pollard for run support.

What the Fuck?

I think it’s a terrible move. Like I told MDC this morning, after a few 75 yard rushing TD’s, Adibi will be back on the bench.

I don’t know what that had to do with anything, but Barwin played some LB for us last year. He’s definitely far more athletically gifted than most of our other options.

Well Krkenney

since you obviously havent been here long… we @ BRB are strong advocates for BigFatDrunk to play Nose Tackle for the Houston Texans since a lot of us are in the “Planetoids on Our DL”

I dunno

if I call standing up and rushing the passer “playing linebacker”. I’d much rather have an actual linebacker filling in for 4 games then trying to convert someone at the pro level on short notice.

Danny Clark can fill in.

Although I don’t see a problem in giving Adibi another chance.

If they want to give him another chance

They should probably do it at a position he has a chance to succeed at ie WLB.

adibi is going to have to man-up. i can’t believe diles wouldn’t start at SAM. we will see how she goes in preseason games. we won’t know who’s actually going to play SAM, until someone can prove they can hold the position down for 4 games besides Diles. one way or another we will find out what Adibi really brings to the table. b/c honestly idk. he looks like he plays fast, but thats about all i got from watching the little bit he has played.

adibi bulks up for the season

At 242 pounds, Texans LB Xavier Adibi has added bulk in the offseason and is a candidate to start at weak-side linebacker during Brian Cushing’s four-game suspension to open the season. "He hasn’t been able to carry that in the past," Texans coach Gary Kubiak said.

Adibi To SLB

Strikes me as a horrendous idea. I honestly cannot even fathom any rationale for it.

Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

Wow

If they would just bench Demeco, they’d be pretty close to zeroing in on the worst possible configuration for our linebackers.

Diles is choice for WILL

all it means is Diles is their WILL & Adibi is expected to step-up but if he can’s stay healthy Shapton may be the Texans week one starting SAM.
