POLL: Mid-Summer "Taking the Temperature" of Houston Texans Fans

Texans fans, this is your opportunity to speak and be heard. Think as if you have a say in what steps the Houston Texans take during preseason practices to turn this team into a playoff team! Below is a poll with a simple question and simple options. Assume that the coaching staff of the Houston Texans will be reading the poll and they will be formulating their practice strategy based on the outcome and what we say in our comments.

So, take the poll.  Besides, what better things do you have to do with your time this summer? Don't answer that!

Poll
In order for the Texans to win this season, what aspect of their game do they have to improve the most?
Need to improve the turnover ratio - In other words, stop fumbling and more interceptions of the other team
4 votes
Better pressure on the opposing QB - that means more sacks, more hurried throws resulting in interception chances, and just general chaos when the game is on the line
16 votes
Beat the AFC South Division - that means the Colts, Jags and Tits must be punished!
31 votes
Coach to win - that means more aggresive scheming on offense and defense in the 2nd half with the lead
12 votes
Change from a Zone Blocking Scheme to a Power Blocking Scheme in the run game - that means it's too late this season, because there are no jumbo O-linemen on this team
1 votes
Get better in the Red Zone - that means finding plays besides off-guard run plays that work
6 votes
Just get better at running the ball - that means Slaton, Foster and Tate do indeed become that three-headed monster that we all thought was just a myth
7 votes
Get a kicker that can hit a clutch kick - that means anyone other than last year's version of Kris Brown
2 votes
Other - no poll should ever be posted without this option, that means you!

BEAT THE DIVISION - BEAT THE DIVISION

Of your SEVEN losses last year – FIVE came in the division.

End. Of. Story.

Too win the division....

we need to keep the pedal to the metal when we’re ahead. Not try to coast….or keep trying to run the ball to eat up the clock when ya know ya can’t.

I went for a more broad gameplay changing aspect.

If you just choose beat the division well, you only beat the division. If you choose coach to win or more pressure that enhances EVERY game of the season. BTW, I chose coach to win.

Win division.

With the division that the Texans play in being as salty as it is, pretty much all of the other options(except from switching to a power run game) need to happen to get to 4-2, much less better in division. I was going to write more, but I don’t have any alcohol in my system to fuel the typing over here. Maybe later.

Haha

Just your average, run of the mill hardcore casual Texans fan.

I am thinking...

10 wins this year as our running game has improved, no one has a better depth at receiving than us, and Kris Brown hopefully just had one flukey bad year.

We should beat Jacksonville both games and split with the Titans and Colts. I think we also split with the NFC East. The rest of the teams are winnable games, but by no means guaranteed.
