Texans Anderson and Jones Invade Cowgirls Territory

20100716fbntexans650_medium

via media.mysanantonio.com

Jacoby Jones and David Anderson were in San Antonio recently, an area that is prevalently filled with Cowgirl fans. But, it seems the San Antonio area is gaining an appetite for the Houston Texans as ESPN1250 sports talk hosts, Jason Minnix and Chris Duel brought in the two Texans for some spirited entertainment. Anderson and Jones didn't let the fans down. As the readers of this blog are aware, Jones brings enthusiasm to the game, but he is also maturing into an accomplished contributor to the Texans' success. David Anderson is no slouch, either, as an entertainer or a football player.

Jacoby Jones' mission: Spread the word in an area known for its deep allegiance to the Dallas Cowboysgirls that there's more than one NFL team in the Lone Star State.

This is all setting up nicely for the 2010 Houston Texans season as they entertain the Cowgirls twice at Reliant Stadium; August 28 in a preseason game and then during the regular season one month later on September 28, when it really counts! I for one would like to see this arrangement parlay into a third meeting between the two teams next February 6, 2011 in Jerrah's House for an ultimate Super Bowl faceoff. Wouldn't that be TOO sweet!

SBXLV

As great as it would be to have the Texans play in SBXLV, having the girls there as well and being the first team to play in a SB in their own stadium would diminish the experience a bit. Would be much better to have the Texans play someone else and force glitzy glamor boy fans to watch in disgust. Shaubenfraude. or Bobenfreude?

hCG levels within acceptable range.

No

Beating Dallas durring the regular season then them loosing in the 1st round of the playoffs, then winning the SB in there house would be better.

Rec'd

I can’t imagine a better ending to the 2010 season. The look on Jerrah’s face as he witnesses our 1st SB triumph would be truly priceless.

It took the Astros 44 years to get to the Series, the Oilers-Texans are due to get to the big dance...Go Texans!!!!!

Dallas and Houston Superbowl

Would be icing on teh cake of this season, especially for those of us that live in Cowboy Country so we can cherish the look on their faces after the game forever…. Ahhhh One can dream…

I admit probably your cowboy fans are worse than Panhandle cowboys..

yes, they do

But I do have to admit its a damn nice stadium. Nicest I’ve ever seen. Went to the first MNF game there the girls vs the panthers (wearing a texans jersey of course.. and surpringly i saw 3 other ppl wearing texans gear). Tailgaiting sucks. Its virtually non existant there. Would have to say Texans tailgating blows Dallas’ awya

by TexansPride on Jul 25, 2010 12:53 PM CDT up reply actions

that's because...

jerrah left the bbq steaks and lone star to us hill billies… Glitz and glamour means tailgaitin includes cheese crackers caviar and champagne… Which 90 precent of the cowgirl fans can’t afford.

Okay, thx for that...

I like when someone corrects me and provides good alternatives.

Now maybe you can help me out and suggest a way of describing Dez Bryant and his very insulting “me” attitude. Is there any doubt that Bryant will be providing us with great fodder in the future? Looking forward to it…. If I were the other Cowturds, I would be loading his compression shorts with ice cubes until they wouldn’t hold any more!

I suppose if all of the stars, moons and planets align it could be possible, but what are the chances of that?
