During his press conference (and backed up by Twitter), Coach Gary Kubiak announced that the Texans have cut CB Fred Bennett, WR London Crawford, and DE Pannel Egboh to get down to the NFL's mandated 75.

I heard the Falcons were in need of a CB.....

seems they have on that is missing in action, LOL!

I suppose if all of the stars, moons and planets align it could be possible, but what are the chances of that?

We might have played this game differently if the Texans weren’t on the schedule. This was a strategic decision by the coaching staff. I think it was a smart decision. Deflating for a fan, but the team doesn’t seem fazed by it.

Cowgirls fans always have excuses..

The Texans need to make a T-shirt with a shot of Andre dragging Terrance Newman on his shirt tail for 5 yards and put “A premonition of week 3” on the back.

Yes and no

Pro Bowl is meaningless cause name players get the votes which often leads to a lot of snubs.

Pre-season outcome doesn’t matter, but performance does. Vanilla or not, the trend on the Cowboys is bad OLine, bad red zone offense, and bad run offense. You can make excuses, but 4 straight games of the same thing shows a trend.

Thanks for playing though. See ya in week 3.

I'd probably put slightly more stock into what they were saying if they looked any differently last night than...

… any game prior to this one. The Cowboys’ biggest problem right now is that their offensive line is playing like the worst in the league. I know they’d have injuries, but it really wasn’t better before this.

by krkenney on Aug 29, 2010 4:01 PM CDT up reply actions

Oh yeah

2.8 YPC before the Texans game, 1.1 last night. Their line looks like crap, their offense is out of sync….

Their defense has looked decent, but the Texans offense just steamrolled them with basic plays.

the cowboys are playing false tells...

I think that the Cowboys were holding back some of their game plays; but so were the other 31 teams, including the Texans. You have to go were the rubber meets the road on this subject— neither Dallas nor Texans want to lose this preseason game; so holding back plays is not a problem in figuring WHOM WANTED THE WIN MORE! I am a Cowboy fan and have been since Bob Hayes days; but I am foremost a HOUSTONIAN and without reservation a TEXANS fan!! Football is football but when Texas meets Texas A&M ,or the Boys meet NY, or if the Cowboys and Houston line up there is something a bit more at stake(preseason or not). The fact remains when the ONES hit the field on opening kickoff until the final whistle The TEXANS wanted a win MORE THAN THE GIRLS DID!!!!

I think Bennett deserves his fair share of the blame - I don't put this on the coaches

He has the physical tools and showed a great deal of potential in his rookie season. We have other DB’s in Quin & McCain who already look better than they did in their rookie seasons.

by leacheatsbabies on Aug 29, 2010 4:38 PM CDT reply actions

He held onto the ball...

On his kickoff return (did he have more than one) and made a decent choice to kneel it in the end zone instead of trying to make something out of nothing. And he had one or two defensive plays where he was in the right place and within his zone, even if the Cowboys didn’t throw it his way.

by Fuzion on Aug 29, 2010 4:48 PM CDT up reply actions
