Per Pancakes' Twitter: WR Andre Johnson is close to signing a new deal that could make him the highest-paid player at his position. Owner Bob McNair said last week that a new deal should be done in two weeks, but it's not going to take that long. McNair said he's willing to redo Johnson because he's a special player and a role model. I don't know specifics of the deal tonight.
