PrintAlright BRB'ers, I've taken all your names and set up a ten team bracket. Since 10 doesn't work out exactly right for a nicely balanced bracket, there are essentially two "play-in" games. Call it a Wild Card round, call it whatever you want. But hey... to be the best, you have to beat the best.
All the match-ups were done completely randomly. I'm putting your posting name with your gamer tag in parenthesis. It's up you guys to get in touch with each other since I don't have emails for anyone and set up your game. I'd like to get to the semis and finals this weekend, so please try and finish these games by Friday. Play-In games get to it tonight if possible! Please post your results in the thread. and technically by the brackets, SouthPaw should end up playing the winner between me & Bonecrusher. If Bonecrusher is ready, I should be able to play him tomorrow during the late afternoon or evening

Is this iteration of Madden worth the money? I mean, I have the money to go buy it this very minute…and I’ll probably play the hell out of the game…
But is it really worth it or should I wait until say Christmas-time when it’ll be on-sale?
I'm honestly disappointed with the game.
NCAA Football beats the shit out of it. The graphics in NCAA are incredible. Madden spent too much time on the gameflow bull shit.

Yeah...
It’s mostly a toss-up between whether I want to get NCAA or Madden right now, and get the other one nearer Christmas. I guess, really, neither is a must-have right this moment. I just want to have something to do between Sunday and Sunday.
Alright I just barely beat Night Owl 27-23.
I was the Cards and he was the Texans. Definitely the craziest game I’ve ever played. I was down 23 to 21 and the last play of the game won it for me; it was a 40 yard screen pass to Beanie Wells. I don’t know who I play next so whoever you are, let me know.

At the same time, I wouldn't say the Raiders have one of the best defenses in the NFL
But the speed kills philosophy of Al Davis makes them a dangerous Madden defense, especially when I use the Multiple D playbook with them

The Raiders do have one of the best.
They have a good D-line with Henderson, Kelly, Houston, and Seymour. Wimbley looks like he’s going to produce, McClain is going to be a stud, and their safeties Michael Huff and Tyvon Branch aren’t slouches themselves. Their corners are good with Asomugha and Johnson. It’s a top 10 defense in general.

I did play an online game against a guy playing with the Tacks. I actually didn’t do half bad, and I have to admit the Texans offense is nearly unstoppable it seems. Either that or the guy was the worst defensive player on the face of the earth.
Either way, I’ll be looking forward to a game or two. Anyone else want to play a noob for ego-boosting benefit?

Seriously though, you’ll probably still be better than me. Though, let’s be honest, with this iteration of Madden, the only thing you really do is move the stick around or pick out receivers.
I just lost to southpaw 48-28.
I’ve never had worse luck in my life. I have 531 yards of offense and he has 424. I noticed some very interesting things in the game:
1. Glover Quin can apparently outjump Fitz 3 times and intercept it 3 times.
2. Andre Johnson breaks 10 tackles after every catch he makes.
3. Matt Leinart intentionally throws it 10 yards in front of his receiver.
I was 0-4 in the redzone with 4 TOs in there. Here are some examples of my bad luck:
1. Early Doucet catches it at the 4, runs towards the endzone, and fumbles on the 1, McCain picks it up, Texans ball.
2. Andre Roberts is wide open at the 4, so Matt Leinart throws it to him, only for one of my O-line to get in the way, so the ball bounces off my O-lineman, and then Mario Williams intercepts it.
I think the game was intentionally giving me hope by letting me get into the redzone, only to fuck me with a ridiculous TO.
Back to NCAA for me.

Don't forget the score was 28-0 at halftime.
I got lucky on some plays but hey glover quin earns his name about not allowing tds. Andre Johnson is a beast all he has to do is break one more tackle.
Now if the texans D can play like that in real life we will be a bad ass D.

Is pretty damn impressive. And I have only played on game online with them, and one game vs CPU.

You should have seen how I played against Bonecrusher
Had Schaub throw for 420 yards, yet Andre Johnson had only one catch the entire game. For some reason though, I always end up playing from behind. Once I get an idea of what they’re doing, that’s when I get my offense going. I had him dead to rights if not for that damn screen pass

multiplayer on Madden is way too fluky
without the sliders pumped all the way up… multiplayer on Madden 11 should be played with everything maxed out at “20”. Just an FYI.

I didnt think I would ever like it, til I tried it. The person that plays the QB controls offensive plays, the person who controls the LB corps controlls the Defensive plays. I personally like playing with the RB
