Around SBN: Yankees Deny Rumors That Team Is For Sale

Second MNF Open Thread

This is an awesome picture of the Ninja Assassin/Disruptacon. Is it relevant? No. Is it awesome? Yes.

I realized that the Texans take on all four Monday Night teams, so there is opportunity for us to learn something about our opponents. What have we learned after the first game?

There's a Rex Ryan-sized lack of offense in New York, and they can't cover everyone - especially the tight end.

Against Baltimore? Heavy pressure can do wonders, but that was a bit more obvious.

Here's an open game thread #2 for the second Monday Night game, also between future Texans opponents: Week 6 foe Kansas City hosts Week 9 foe San Diego.

That game still worries me.

They’re the same team as last year. Great defense, good running game, terrible passing offense. But if we have to grind it out with them, they’re still capable of hitting a big passing play or two while our D is keyed in on the run…

I think we’re a more improved team than they are since last year’s match-up (that includes Pollard, of course), but there’s no avoiding the fact that they fuckstomped us.

realize that the release won’t be undone, and we need to move on. Only a certain group of others have decided to make it their mission in life to get a personal apology from Polian for making what he thought at the time was a good decision. And – shocker – he may still prove to be right.

do you mean get their act together? I hope that’s the case and I’m fine with people saying that. I’m also fine with people wondering why Polian let Lilja walk. I’m NOT fine with people harping on it over and over and over again… and then other people joining in on the witch hunt, which is what it’s turned in to.

I, amongst many other of the core contributors at Battle Red Blog, are officially boycotting the site due to the deplorable "leadership" of head blogger Tim. We ask, but do not expect, support, from you, our fellow fans, regardless of your team affiliation. Were doing this because Tim tried to touch us all in inappropriate ways and didn't even offer to buy us dinner. Tim needs to be taught that NO means NO. To show your support you may email dhalprin123@gmail.com at SBNation and respectfully ask for the removal of Tim as head blogger of Battle Red Blog. Thank You. Also, we ask that BFD work on his hygiene.

The Texans lines both looked much better to me in preseason than in the past. If the lines are coming together, the Texans will be tough. Foster is ideally suited for the Kubiak/Denver blocking scheme – big, fast, one cut and gone.

It's a trap!

Thank You. Also, we ask that BFD work on his hygiene.

instead of…

“In this situation, Phillip Rivers is the only guy I’d want if I were in this position.”

May it dissapoint me less then their last two efforts

Have you ever tried just turning off the TV, sitting down with your children, and hitting them?

I've listened to 3 of their new songs, and 2 were utterly worthless in my opinion

But then again, they do tend to have about half of their album be worthless and the other half be gold.

Now I actually quite liked their last album. Not as much as their first couple, but it did have some good stuff that I enjoy listening too.

"I shall not fear. Fear is the Mind killer. Fear is the little death that leads to total obliteration. I will face my fear and let it pass through me. When the fear is gone, there shall be nothing. Only I shall remain."

-Frank Herbert "Dune" (1965)

I like pretty mcuh all of their first album

everything since then has been as you described though, half good half shit, and the songs I think are shit are the ones that everyone loves to play over and over and over and over and over and over and STOP IT ALREADY.

I think you may like this one then. Kind of back to the roots of screaming and such.

Ya, I understand trying to tell a story, but the least they could have done is add atleast some good songs....

If I die before I wake....

At least in heaven I can skate.
Cuz right now on Earth I can’t do jack,
Without the man upon my back.
