The Challenge for . . . RB 2
Reading a recent post or maybe an article hinting what would happen, God forbid, knock on all the wood you got, if Foster went down, it made me think about the 2nd RB situation.
I think it's becoming a legitimate question who should come in after Foster (as the main back, not the third down threat).
I love Steve, but he hasn't necessarily shown signs of hitting the holes any better than last year (even if you disregard the fumbling issues). Jeremiah has shown glimpses of being a GREAT runner in this system.'
If the unthinkable should happen (by unthinkable, I mean I don't want to think about it), who would you like to see get the carries?
I know that JJ2 has pass protection problems, but is that offset by the difference in pass protection a solid running game would provide?
I'd prefer to see JJ get the carries, then if Stevie shows better vision, you might let Steve earn them back.

There really isn't competition or a question to the coaches
Slaton’s the 2, Jeremiah’s the 3, and they’ll be signing a FA for the 4th since Chris Henry is a shorts guy.
"Lord, beer me strength."
If Foster goes down
We will see them split carries…with Johnson taking more and more of the load as time moves on if he can show that he can handle the pass-pro.

Not sure its so cut and dry
as TexansDC makes it. I think Slaton is clearly the number 2 as far as playing time because they want to use him as a third down back. But who knows if they might let Jeremiah leap frog him as an every down back.
But, who would you WANT to see?
Seriously
Johnson has only run against 3rd teams, and his pass protection leaves alot to be desired.

Same goes for Schaub...
& Pollard
& Caldwell
Like many other teams, we have a few positions with a good/great starter….and absolute crap behind them on the depth chart.
If the Treasury Secretary doesn't have to pay taxes, then why do I?
Second that
(pleading on my knees) Please, Durga, keep Studdard on the bench!
I suppose if all of the stars, moons and planets align it could be possible, but what are the chances of that?
