Alright, I'm sold

I've tried for years to compare my brand of college football to the likes of the NFL. It hasn't been easy. You see, I'm a Big 12 guy, and to make it worse Texas Tech is my team and my alumni. I grew up an Oilers fan and a Cowboys fan in Beaumont and Midland Texas. The Oilers are gone and Dallas sunk into the funk they are in. I wasn't really interested after that.

Enter Mike Leach at Texas Tech. We throw the ball, a lot. I enjoy this. In fact, I enjoy it so much it becomes a problem. I've had the worst time adjusting to the fact that Leach is no longer apart of Tech. And with the past 3 games, I've noticed this even more. We as fans have watched a brand of football that is exciting and requires a defribulator in all house holds. I haven't seen the likes of this in the NFL until I sat on my couch today and decided to sit through a Texans game.

Don't get me wrong, I've watched a few games before. I played and grew up with your starting Right Tackle, Eric Winston, so I've always felt something for the Texans. As I watched the game, I became more and more excited with the offense and what Kubiak was trying to accomplish. Mario Williams finally came alive and made it even better.

The thing that sealed the deal was Schaub's yardage at the end of the game. 497 yards. That's what my family likes to see. With that, my wife told me she is now a Texans fan and there is nothing I can do about it. So be it.

So, prepare for me to invade your territory and make it akward during game threads. I'm horrible at post game write ups but they can be highly entertaining, so I'm told.
