I'm not saying crap either...
Butler isn’t bad. I actually think he’d start on other teams.
"Lord, beer me strength."
And it's not like the Texans have to pass to win games...
I’ve no problem with MOAR Foster

I'm only saying crap
because (a) this is never a good thing and (b) I feel sorry for all overtrained athletes.

Just saw this too.
What the hell, man?
Just your average, run of the mill hardcore casual Texans fan.
I'm laughing at PEDs....
They sure didn’t help against Freeney.
Duane’s been banged up with some injuries (injury report wise), I’d guess he tried to help the process. </end speculation>"Lord, beer me strength."
sounds like....
he pulled a pettite.

Doubt it.
Too much truth to this story.
Just your average, run of the mill hardcore casual Texans fan.
You'd think
juicing players would play better pass defense. And not give up six sacks to the Redskins.
It's all perception. No way Brown was juicing, he gets owned to badly. But people will believe it.

So do we employ
Particularly incompetent juicers?
I blame Rivers
He called Duane Brown out so much that he tried to get better the only way he knew how; Overtraining with Bran Cushing…
Fuck that Bran Cushing guy.
Just your average, run of the mill hardcore casual Texans fan.
Well Rashad Butler better be good.
Demarcus Ware is celebrating somewhere in the shithouse known as Dallas.

Why?
Winston struggles against speed rushers. Ware would abuse him just as bad.

Well, you'd be largely strengthening from your dooming situation on the left
while downgrading a bit on the right. I’ll take that over having Butler come in and try and stop the best pass rusher in the league on one of the better pass rushing lines.

Don't think for a second that can't change dramatically playing against our Oline
especially after giving up 5 to a team which scored 27 on us didn’t score an offensive touchdown on Dallas.

Exactly.

by HoustonTransplant on Sep 21, 2010 3:47 PM CDT up reply actions
Their starting LT got injured early in the game.
They had to resort to a back-up. Dallas began to blitz more, but Chicago made them play with quick slants. Dallas had to back-off.
"Lord, beer me strength."
Also, Bears went with more hot routes to negate the rush
So, there’s that…

They will probably just have extra blockers on the left side.
Will change the game plan but I’m pretty sure the Texans have had time to prepare for this.

No appeal
Duane Brown: “I unknowingly took a supplement tainted with a banned substance and now have to deal with the consequences.”
Do you honestly believe this?
That he unknowingly took a supplement with a banned substance?
No fucking way.
No NFL player is that stupid in this day and age.
He got caught juicing, but because Cushing used up all the lame excuses, he has to fall on his sword.
So unbelievably fucking stupid.

Because supplements often contain shit not on the labels(or you just don't read them)
The industry is completely unregulated. The NFL maintains a list of “approved supplements” and there is supposed to be a number players can call to get questions answered about supplements so there really is no excuse. It doesn’t mean I can’t see it happening…not that it matters because people will refuse to believe that he wasn’t actively using steroids no matter what.
"Well, at least our players kept their helmets on, so that showed some intelligence"-Bob McNair
Stick to the list of approved supplements. It's not exactly rocket science.

Interesting tweet from Mario, a couple of weeks ago,
usually workout 4x a week n i don’t take supplements. Not to many can b trusted
Assmass alone does not a NT make.
I don't disagree at all
I’m not saying he isn’t a dumb ass, only that it is possible he’s telling the truth. I don’t really believe him, but I have no way of knowing one way or the other with 100% certainty…so I don’t see the point in jumping to conclusions and I’m not arrogant enough to think that my opinion is as good as fact even though I think he’s more than likely been juicing. I can’t think of one good reason to use a supplement that isn’t on the approved list. I would like to know what he tested positive for though. If it was a weight loss type thing vs. steroids I do think that changes things somewhat…at least in relation to how disappointed I am in him.
A starter for my team is suspended four games. The only thing I care about right now is how Butler will do over the next four games.
I just get annoyed by how everyone always wants to paint everything in black and white usually based on their feelings on the matter at hand. Not just on this subject, but in general. People seem to make up their minds in about 30 seconds and then refuse to change them. I find that frustrating whether it’s about which player should start, which player sucks, Politics, or any other subject.

Lets see
Cushing preseason, Tate after Week One, Holliday after Week Two, Molden after Week Three, Andre Davis after Week Four, Barwin after Week One, Brown after Week Two
If my calculations are correct, the Texans will have used roughly 800 different players by the end of this season. Unreal.

Scouting Report from TMZPN insider
Comment: After missing the entire 2008 season, Butler returned to play in all 16 games in 2009 as a backup. He is a good-sized lineman with above-average initial quickness and adequate agility and body control. Butler is not a natural knee bender and will struggle to keep his pad level down to leverage blocks. He lacks the lower-body strength and bulk to hunker down against a good bull rush and will give ground too easily. He has a tendency to let his weight get too far forward and falls off more blocks than you’d like. He is still developing his techniques and needs to do a better job of using his hands to control opponents.

To the people worried about DeMarcus Ware...
Ware’s a good speed rusher, but this season he has 1 sack in 2 games. In those 2 games he has faced a rookie LT (Trent Williams) and the Bears back-up LT (because their starter went down early with an injury).
Ware’s primary move is a speed rush around the LT. He’s got a spin move, but it’s not as devastating as Dwight Freeney’s. I imagine the Texans will throw a TE/Vonta/Foster to help Butler on passing plays. They’ll probably run the first few plays to get his feet wet. I imagine there will be some early WR/HB Screen Passes too in an effort to slow down Ware and make him reactive as opposed to full-speed rush.
People should be concerned, but it’s still on Ware to perform. If Butler and help can make him go the long way around then it should be manageable.
