Not that our owner Bob Mcnair is bad guy, but I always suspect people of his insane wealth to have stomped the proverbial necks in their rise to power. Plus I thought it made for a catchy headline.I wanted to make a point about our loss to the Arlington Glitz, that no one has mentioned .Which is that man deserved his employes to step up for him.
My point is, he is a great boss. He is willing to give his important people what they deserve, whether it be money, power, security and in Cushings' case moral and emotional support . He has no problem cutting his loses with unproductive employees, which he is already heavily invested . I can tell you from personal experience it is great to have a boss that understands it is not fair to the fellow co-workers ,to have a weak link that is overpaid.
What does he get for all this? In the most financially important game since inception to the league? He had his employees collectively drop the ball and lay an egg.. My industry slang would be " THOSE GUYS MOTHER F#$*ED HIM". How many neutral fans would have converted from that one win? 50,000? 100,000? 300,000? Band-wagoners needed a reason to believe. People with low football I.Q. were using this game as the litmus test. Those guys flat out cost him serious money . Only making the playoffs will recover a nice chunk of those loses.
It is funny that the one time Gary blames the players I BLAME HIM. He did not make the offensive or defensive adjustments. He did not have the offense ready to roll. How can you come away with 9 points in three trips to the redzone, have three turnovers, deny Foster, your most potent play maker this year, over 20 touches and blame your pre-pubescent secondary ? Absolutely they sucked, but if that surprised you, go run the damn offense in Green Bay.He should have game-planed better. Schaub should not have had his worst game in 2 years vs. Dallas. I am all for Kubiac, I think him and Rick Smith will get us there. But throwing the pups under the bus is just wrong. Maybe Smith and him should stop turning a blind eye to FREE-SAFETY in the draft and free agency. Anybody with a brain knew those receivers were a damn nightmare for our secondary, Schaub and company needed to be prepared to hang another 30, at least consume clock and keep the D off the field.
In closing all I can say is I feel like the team let Boss man down. I have earned respect in my field by being the guy that will make you look good. Understands there are times when a boss or owner needs you to pour your heart into your work, and be on point. That certain times, failure just simply isn't a option. Not because I will look bad, but because the guy that signs my paycheck will look bad. These guys, Kubiac on down, just showed no loyalty or empathy, and that is something Mcnair has mostly shown them.
That being said, I am sure Mcnair probably has a damn money pit he swan dives into right after snorting a line off the thigh of a university cheerleader. Our guys will regroup, they always do. Can not wait for our team to be in the playoffs this year. Thanks god for the continued improvement , GO TEXANS!!!!
