Fantasy Perspective: Walter or Jones

First of all, good luck this year in real and fantasy football! I am definitely rooting for the Texans to overtake the Colts and win the AFC South. I am worried about your tough schedule but Week 1 vs Indy is a must see game for sure.

Anyway, as a fan and follower of the Buffalo Bills on Buffalo Rumblings, I have a fantasy question for you. Any questions you would like answered in regards to the Bills, although I am sure they are few ;), I will be happy to return the favor.

I have both Kevin Walter & Jacoby Jones as my 4th WR on my Fantasy team. I would like to drop one prior to Week 1 to add more depth to my RB position. In your humbled opinions, which one has the most upside/consistency for this 2010 season. If you were in my situation, which one would you keep knowing they would probably only be used for a bye week start barring unforeseen circumstances, e.g., injuries.

Jacoby over Walter.

He’ll score more td’s and gain more yards. But if you’re playing on a PPR, Walter is better. He’s sure handed and he’ll get you at least 55+ catches.

I Guess I'd Lean Jacoby

Purely for upside, since he’ll be a reserve for you. K-Dub will be more consistent over the course of the season, and he is WR2 here, but I think Jakespeare is the better fantasy option, especially as WR4 on your squad.

Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

but mainly because I have a suspicion that Dorin Dickerson will eventually cut into JJ’s targets, and relegate him to having to focus even more on returning kicks

it depends on what you are looking for

I’m not much of a fantasy Guy, but for fantasy purposes Jacoby is More likely to have the big plays. Walter is still a better overall WR, but if jacoby is finally turning into a finished product then he has the raw physical ability to put up huge numbers.
