No Quarterback on the practice squad!!

Where, oh where is John David Booty.

(LB Clark was released so there is another spot open)

good one, krk

Very nice. Now who wants to place a bet on that?

I suppose if all of the stars, moons and planets align it could be possible, but what are the chances of that?

NFL.com

has an article saying that the comical is reporting we’re interested in him… so I’m sure the odds are 30-70 that we sign him

One good thing that could come out of bringing in Leinart

Maybe now we can get an informed and honest opinion as to who’s better, Andre Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald?

Let's be honest,

… we signed Jacques Reeves. It seems the coaching staff is only comfortable with corners who are awful in Dallas.

No, we grabbed Chris Ogbonnaya from the Rams instead

As a Longhorn fan

I like adding Ogbonnaya to the squad. I guess I’m not supposed to approve of our interest in Leinart, but I applaud the Texans for recognizing the potential disaster of Orlovsky starting if Schaub goes down, and seeking solutions. How do you not pursue another option after that Tampa game?

will find a place in this team again before the season ends

Get ready to bang your head against the wall...

According to Paul Kuharsky of ESPN.com, the Texans are the leading candidate to land Leinart. The Texans were the first team to contact Leinart after his release. A deal could be made soon.

Even if Dan is a bad QB, Leinart’s mentality is ‘me, me, me,’ which I can’t stand.

He went to SC which is bad enough, but to act like a douche because you lost the starting QB job is ridiculous.

I can’t believe we are going to sign him.

He will have to come in accepting the backup spot

He isn’t competing to be the starter until they wheel Schaub off the field.

I suppose if all of the stars, moons and planets align it could be possible, but what are the chances of that?

by Rip Jersey on Sep 5, 2010 8:37 PM CDT up reply actions

Even then, he still better not be competing for QB1

That’s the sort of shit that brought us the Rosencopter.

If the Treasury Secretary doesn't have to pay taxes, then why do I?

by Shake on Sep 5, 2010 9:31 PM CDT up reply actions

I think that ....

if we do sign him it will be to turn him into a tradeable asset later on. Who knows maybe a team that needs a quarterback next year might give us a a 4th for him? That’s what we got for sage didn’t we?

Hate to be a homer

But had to sound off on Wall being signed, since he went to my high school, and played for Tech. (Go Wall!) I know he might not be a pro but seriously I’m very giddy. (Plainview biased comment now over, because I know how you all loove hearing about my life)

Meh. Don't really know why i support the Sox when I'm from Texas, just an oddball thing.

I don’t pretend to be an expert at baseball, but really the sox’s problem has been injuries. But when you are down 10 or 11 games in a division, it’s not just one problem. Oh well.

well im a Texans fan from NC

i guess cause i didnt really get into football before 2002 and pulling for “the new team on the block” just seemed right… glad i did. this team is AWESOME

Some people say "If you can't beat them, join them". I say "If you can't beat them, beat them", because they will be expecting you to join them, so you will have the element of surprise.

Jeremiah

Whats wrong with a 5yd per run average?

by battlered90 on Sep 5, 2010 9:56 PM CDT reply actions

Nothing wrong with that

But the guy has a dislocated toe. The option is to cut him right now. The Texans need healthy bodies. Every team in the league needs healthy bodies. He can’t practice, so no practice squad for JJ. He isn’t going anywhere for now.

fingers crossed

I liked him at RB3.

I hope he’s our RB3 when he’s healthy.

@texansonabc13 should the texans run more nickel using Quin in the slot against Clark… since cushing will be out for vs the Colts?
