Texans carrying 3 QBs on roster... for how long.
Now that Matt "clipboard" Lienart has officially been named the 3rd quarterback I can ask this question. Maybe somebody wiser than me knows..? But is the mothership really going to carry 3 QBs on the roster? If so, is it just till Matt #2 learns the playbook, and then they cut DanO? Inquiring minds want to know
Are there any other NFL teams carrying 3 QBs? Pittsburgh maybe?
If they like what they see, and God forbid Schaub goes down, is it worth it? I guess time will tell.

Most teams carry 3 QB's
Or so I thought when I play Madden I always see a QB1, QB2 and a QB3. Gotta have that emergency guy (he’s 2 plays from coming in afterall).
I know Kubes likes to have 2 QB’s, but he did hold 3 this past year, and Dan O is not bad as a #3 guy (though he’s grossly overpaid to be #3 out there.

Last year was the first time Gary had carried 3 QB's
Roster spots are so precious that there are plenty of teams who don’t carry three on the roster. If they only have two there is usually one on the practice squad.
I’m a Madden guy, but Madden does not equal real life.

Yeah how many teams really have their backup QB holding kicks anymore
Also no OL is the LS, Madden ruined my entire perception of reality.
Being grossly overpaid is exactly why they'll keep Orlovsky.
McNair is not about to chunk that much money down the drain.

Orlovsky is right on par with what most back up QB's make
He’s making 2.25 million which puts him at the high end for guys with his number of career starts, but it’s not grossly out of whack with going rate. Is it too much for a guy who might lose his job as a back up to what most people considered a washed up vet? Yes, but it’s not like we established new ground with his contract either.

Kubiak said last year that he was leaning towards three QB’s after Schaub’s injuries…he realized he was one play away from Alex Brink.
