Not surprised.It was widely assumed he wouldn’t be back after the last year on his contract anyways.The real question is,are they still going to trade VY? That could be a no but they could still do it.

I guess we’ll find out for sure on Feb 7th, but since this seems like a Beelzebud/Reinfeldt decision, I don’t see how VY returns.

I don’t mean to interfere with your Cowher-chubby too much, but bear in mind that Cowher would still have to deal with Beelzebud’s meddling in personnel decisions and undermining his authority. Cowher is a fine coach, but he cannot defy the “physics” of working with a megalomaniacal moronic madman.

Look what Fisher has been able to do to us with those same distractions, and Cowher is every bit the coach as The Mustache.

The point being, we don’t need another elite coach replacing Fisher. We need Bud to hire someone like Lane Kiffin, or Nick Saban….maybe even Bobby Petrino. Know what I mean?

Individuals have different strengths...

Part of the Fisher toolset is an ability to deal with meddling interference while also fielding competent teams.

I don’t necessarily know that the whole dealing with meddling effectively trait is part of th’ Chin’s CV. I don’t know why he would accept that kind of a situation when he absolutely doesn’t need to…

Hadn't considered that possibility.

Was only thinking about him as a head coach after kubes franks away another season, but that scenario has win all over it.

You would think the man would know just a little about running an organization after all these yrs. He’s also been head of the NFL Rules committee. Think that would be a help as well.
