Now That the Obvious is Over - Poll
News Flash: Wade Phillips is the new Houston Texans Defensive Coordinator. This news comes on the heels of a 6-10 season with the hometown team finishing 2-8 down the stretch. Now, y'all know what has transpired, but I'm going to refresh your memories, in an obvious attempt to sway your vote.....
Gary Kubiak has held onto the Head Coach position solely based on his nice-guy likability and because he is holding onto some compromising photos of someone very close to Bob McNair. Likewise, Rick Smith is still the General Manger doing his best impression of Charlie Casserly, who he succeeded. These two guys have been in their current positions for five, count them, five excruciatingly mediocre seasons. Somehow, by the grace of durga, with Smithiak in control, the Texans managed to pull the last four games of the season out of their asses a year ago to finish 9-7 in the Texans only winning season in their brief history. Okay, I have set the table for you.
I'm asking for your vote now. I have constructed a poll, below, that will succinctly take the temperature of the entire Houston Texans world as we know it right here on BattleRedBlog based on where we have been, where we are now and where we are going in the near future. You know what to do!

Needs an I dont kno yet choice
Depends on the moves we make this offseason. For now im going with no
You are such a good friend that if you and me were the last two people trapped on a sinking boat with only 1 life vest left, i would remember and pray for you every day.
How about
A will there be playoffs next year choice?
I am totally optimistic about the Texans new season - at least until the first of the 4 or 2 (if any) preseason games
How about this
we have a top 5 offense. Despite all the hiccups on offense this year, it was still well above average. Gary Kubiak is an integral part of that offense. It is a wise move to keep him. no need to change for changes’ sake.
Frank Bush was in charge of one of the worst defenses in the NFL last season. He had all year t fix problems that we were talking about in game one and game two. He failed to do so. Had we made one or two stops a game this past season, we would have won maybe six more games.
I think it was the right call. To fire Bush and bring in Wade. In fact, I am pretty sure I suggested it about 2 seconds after hearing Wade got fired in Dallas

The question needs to be worded differently for me
Do they have the potential to make the playoffs? Absolutely. Will they stop finding dramatic ways to lose games that cost them the season? The jury is still out.
I wish we could hire coaches without "having grown up in Houston" being a job requirement.
with this roster, that's a big hell NO!
we need 3 good FA signings and a good draft. since mcnair kept kube’s, i actually expect for the first time for them to make some FA signings that we have needed for a while. kube’s should of been fired imo. besides i want more than just making the playoffs, but it sure would be nice.
Don't ask me! Ask Google, you dumb Yahoo!
Rip I have a complaint
You posted a poll without the “other” option.

That's a philisophical question that you will have to address in your own mind when it comes to winning or losing....
Just not on this poll
I didn't do anything wrong!.... and, I won't do it again.
Also
Are you withholding your vote until there is an “other?”
I would be interested in reading your thoughts of any “other” outcome. I debated this in my own mind for at least 25 minutes. Even if you think that, well, maybe the league will dissolve before the end of the season… that would be a “no” answer, because no one would reach the playoffs. So, bring it on.
But, I did notice you came, you posted, and you withheld your vote.
I didn't do anything wrong!.... and, I won't do it again.
Just snarking it up really.
Right now I have to say no. Until they actually show that they’ll fix the defense with safeties and nose tackles rather than coordinators and loose wire, you can’t answer otherwise.

I've seen that happen at a coin toss once.
