It's strange to talk about "good luck" in this situation...

…but having gone through one of those bad news/good news things, I feel blessed so I hope that he is able to see it that way or at least some day see it that way. He is truly a blessed man.

You know

it’s strange that the owners didn’t push for something like full physicals once or twice per year for every player. At best, you find things like this. At worst, they find out someone’s knee is fucked and use that as leverage.

Not saying I agree with that approach, but it does seem like good business on their end.

I wonder how often a full physical is made a pre-condition to a huge contract?

It would seem pretty irresponsible otherwise.
