Open Game Day Thread: Texans vs. Titans
This game is what the kids call "big." The AFC South lead is on the line. Some would also say the Texans' 2011 season is on the line. My family would say my sanity is on the line, and they'd probably be right.
Okay...they'd definitely be right.
Leave your pre-game, in-game, and post-game love notes to Bud Adams in the Comments. This is your open game thread.

Can't watch today because of work.
I’ll be checking the score of course on my phone.
It will probably be good for my heart to not watch this week though.
Prediction: 11-5 AFC South champions.
Yeah first missed game in a long time :(
At least I can check the score and stats on my phone.
Prediction: 11-5 AFC South champions.
i'm working too
does anybody know if the sportsradio610 online stream plays the game
yes
working dispatch today….sucks.
Atleast I have a TV to follow.
In Houston we've had Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon and now we are STUCK with Kareem "The Quarterback's Dream" Jackson. Look he just fell down again.

Not to worry
Schaub will have to be halfway to the hospital before Kubiak would think about bringing anybody in to relieve him….
I didn't do anything wrong!.... and, I won't do it again.
Good thing to
To late to trade for anybody worth starting at this point.
Prediction: 11-5 AFC South champions.
Yeah
the Patriots truned down Kareem Jackson and a 5th round pick for Brady

I heard the Saints turned down a similar offer for Brees
Quite surprised about that
Prediction: 11-5 AFC South champions.
really?
why is Leinart even on the team then? I can’t imagine the Texans going after another QB if Schaub had gone down.
They could have had Carson Palmer for three 1st rounders....

Palmer these days...
Might be the closest thing to Schaub in the entire league. Well, except for the fact that he’s a whiny quitter.

Because ever team needs a back up QB.
Preferably one with some starting experience. Just so happens Leinart has that.
Prediction: 11-5 AFC South champions.

yes...
but if you’re just going to trade for another QB if the start goes down then it’s stupid to pay a backup millions of dollars. if your backup is Kyle Boller then yeah, it makes sense to trade, but Leinart is making nearly 5 times as much as Boller.
I am not sure how to feel about this game.
I want a win so bad, but I can bring myself to expect one.

I dont check any scores, my facebook, I dont make conversation with the customes that come in at subway. the games literally starts at 10pm for me.
I am no prophet, so help me with this. Finish this thought...
This weekend we have the rebirth of Carson Palmer and the resurrection of Tim Tebow.
And, as you know all know, deaths always come in threes. Two weeks ago we had Al Davis right before the Raiders game. Last week we had Mrs. Modell right before the Ravens game.
This week, before the BESF game, we have…..

Anyone else agree this is the most important game of the season?
For me, I think if we lose this game, be it blowout or another gut wrenching loss, I will give up on the season like I did last year when we lost to the Colts. It really isn’t something that was decided on, but it was something felt. After losing to the Colts (b/c Kubiak didn’t run Foster enough in the 2nd half), the rest of last season I was no longer upset when we lost.
When the Q-Tip and the INT by Josh Wilson vs Baltimore happened, it was all “oh wow, they did it again” and not “OMG NOOOOOOO”. I think if we lose this game, I will get to that mode again for rest of the season.
Yes, it is the most important game of the season
Until next week.

You know he has the speed, that is a given
But, he needs a path. The blocking this season has been absolutely atrocious. If they could figure that out, then I give Holliday a chance of living through the experience and if he gets a lane out, then he just might do something. Living to tell about it would be a bonus….

So when exactly did it change that defensive players are no longer allowed to get back onsides?
GET A SILK BAG FROM THE GRAVEYARD DUCK TO LIVE LONGER.
When the offensive player opposite of the player who went in the neutral zone moves, the play stops
and the penalty is on the defender.
I understand that's the rule now.
That wasn’t my question. It used to be that defensive players were given the chance to get back onsides if they jumped pre-snap. If the offensive line moved, it was a false start.
GET A SILK BAG FROM THE GRAVEYARD DUCK TO LIVE LONGER.
