Familiarity
I guess familiarity counts for a lot around Kirby. Suprised there aren’t any ties to Denver or Colorado State.
I can run faster horny than she can scared

I am hoping this means
Andre Johnson will be back, and Demps is the return man.

He failed in thinking he AllenOU'd
It happened to me earlier. I posted something then it showed up twice. Except when I immediately refreshed it only showed up once.
Tricky, this place…
So a faux OU

Just like the team that showed up last weekend.
Dallas Cowboys, all hat and no cattle since 1996.

I had that happen for the first time, too.
Except, I also apparently traveled through time, because the second one showed up timestamped one hour in the future.
I time-traveled! I’ve made time!

Speaking of which
I need a LOST Timeline to make sense of all thissssssss!!!!!!!!
I didn't do anything wrong!.... and, I won't do it again.
I hope they just stop with the Holliday stuff
They tried it, it didn’t work….move on, fellas.
"Lord, beer me strength."
Was he really that bad?
it seemed like he only got 1 chance to return a kick
Watch me all in flames, on a butterfly I ride
He impressed me this time being able to catch the ball quite adequately in traffic, something Jacoby has never been able to do
I didn't do anything wrong!.... and, I won't do it again.
He'll never play WR
roster space is too tight for a one trick pony.
I wish we could hire coaches without "having grown up in Houston" being a job requirement.
Yes, this exactly, especially with the new kickoff rules
That position, with the exception of Devin Hester or anyone that can imitate him, is obsolete. On a Kubiak team, definitely a position of luxury. On a Kubiak team experiencing injuries, that guy is cut, gonzo, finis.
I didn't do anything wrong!.... and, I won't do it again.
I'm not saying he's the second coming of Jermaine Lewis, but
when did it not work? He has one chance Sunday and, while he ran backward, tried to make something happen and didn’t do anything Jacoby hasn’t done 50 times.

Listening to the presser yesterday...
Kubes sounded really uncomfortable with having a returns-only specialist on the roster at all, especially with the new kickoff rule. My guess is it wasn’t about his performance.
I applaud this, if true
We need more chances at backup Safety after the Keo experiment.
It is nice talking about our talent at backup safety this year.
my Z key can't take another free agent flurry
He's never shown anything remotely competent
He hasn’t had a ton of playing time, but he’s a specialist….he has to make an impact to take up a roster spot.
With the new kickoff rule, it doesn’t make sense to have a return specialist as it is. He’s not a McCluster, Arenas, Cobb, or Sproles…he’s a track runner.
"Lord, beer me strength."
He's shown ability at the college level
Not saying that college ability definitely translates to NFL ability (obviously), but I do think it’s incorrect to say that he hasn’t shown the ability to be a good returner.
The Two-Day Hangover @ Battle Red Blog (2011) & SBN Houston (2010) | Twitter
I strictly meant in the NFL sense
Is it Joe Marciano’s fault? Likely since our special teams woes are tied to his failures as a coordinator, but Holliday, at least in what I have seen, doesn’t have the lateral quickness that those other tiny wonders have.
"Lord, beer me strength."
Yes, exactly, he is fast in a straight line, but he has never shown football moves that can make guys miss
I didn't do anything wrong!.... and, I won't do it again.
See videos above.
There are also a number of clips of him as a running back at LSU. He’s not Barry Sanders, but he’s got some moves.
The Two-Day Hangover @ Battle Red Blog (2011) & SBN Houston (2010) | Twitter
Maybe not.
My only point - and this ties in with your reference to Joe M. - is that he hasn’t had a real opportunity to show what (if anything) he can do at the NFL level, and his return skills that he showed in college make me think that giving up on him too early is a mistake.
That said, unless he was handling punts AND kickoffs, you are probably right that it makes no sense to have a specialist like that these days.
The Two-Day Hangover @ Battle Red Blog (2011) & SBN Houston (2010) | Twitter
As we move into the Holiday season, the Texans leave Holliday behind
so who’s left on our practice squad after all these moves?!!
The pessimist says "half empty"
The optimist says "half full"
The NFL says "The Jags have the wrong size stadium in Tarpsville so we are moving that team to LA"
I'm under no illusions as to his abilties as a safety.
But if this keeps Keo off the field outside of special teams, I’m for it.
And Trindon Holliday, welcome to the UFL! You have a bright future here!
(Assuming we don’t resign him to the PS)

Only thingk I've seen him do
is catch one ball and otherwise congratulate Arian Foster in the End Zone.
I am taking this as a sign
that Andre will be back this weekend, and Demps is taking reps at Returns

Demps
Very average return man with below-average cover skills. Clearly adds depth and a need but not very skilled at either. Shiloh probably joins Holliday this week as another failed experiment.

Good move. I feel like if any of these players are injured when we reach the playoffs, all will be for naught...
Everyone’s favorite Quarterback, Arian Foster, James Casey (yeah, seriously) or Andre Johnson. We have a scary offensive threat between Foster, Tate, Casey, Daniels, and A. Johnson… Two 1000+ yard backs, 2 mismatch nightmare creating reciever threats, and the best player ever in our teams existence. The Tits game was the first time all this clicked into a champion-like performance, and we were still missing two pieces to that puzzle… I think it could be magical if we could just find that elusive consistency and stop suffering horrible plaguing injuries to these key players. Losing D. Manning reeeally sucked, though. P.S. What’s with all the pectoral injuries? Seeing them a lot in the NFL this year, never really noticed players fall with such frequency to that kind of injury. Hell, I don’t ever really remember seeing them before at all to be honest.

I think on offense, the key is Dennison
I may have mentioned this earlier, Dennison called the plays against the BESFs.
I didn't do anything wrong!.... and, I won't do it again.
To elaborate further
It’s time for Kubiak to sit back and start being a head coach and concentrate on the things that he isn’t good at that the other coaches aren’t supposed to do, and that is watching the game from a management standpoint. Let the OC and DC do their thing. Kubiak, you just manage the game, now.
I didn't do anything wrong!.... and, I won't do it again.

Hate to see the little guy go.
I recall on draft day we all were excited to pick him up, then they new kickoff rules came and we were all like DAMNNNN!!! Anyways i think Keo is going to be our speical team returner now. Dont know why but i have a feeling he will.
