Just over a week after requesting a trade, Chicago Bears safety Chris Harris was released on Thursday morning.

Would signing a veteran like Chris Harris help our secondary? Short term band aid while Manning is out, long term experience for when we will need vetrean players?  Any thoughts on if this player would help this team.  

Ya I know,  Another injured player, being cut for a reason. Yet could be turn out to be a Jason Allen type player, where he makes a couple plays a game. A mid season pick up where the team and the player were not fitting.  Does the team have enough cap money to make a move like that? 

I am not too familiar with his playing style,  but his playing numbers were not bad.  Adding depth where you just lost depth always seems like a good thing. Another Bears safety to help out seems pretty solid as well.
