Seismic Shift

We've all commented on how different it is to:

  1. Have a defense that doesn't inspire us to cut ourselves and chant at the TV
  2. Be at 7-3 going into our bye week (or ever for that matter)
  3. Have a defense that doesn't inspire us to cut ourselves and chant at the TV
  4. Have such a strong team that we are able to weather injuries to key players... and...
  5. Have a defense that doesn't inspire us to cut ourselves and chant at the TV

However something has happened over the last week or so that I don't think has really sunk in yet.  While Satan's Southern Oklahoma Livestock Molesters have maintained a patronizing attitude about our beloved team ever since "19-10" (/bows toward Reliant), they have, for the most part been disinterested in a snide kinda' way.

But in the last week I've seen two different articles by a Skip-Bayless-LDJA12-wannabe from Fort Worth that go out of their way to take shots and try to run down the Texans.

This afternoon on the drive home some embarrassing VY-FanBoi from Dallas called into the NFL Channel (Sirius) all INDIGNANT because of "ALL" of the comments that he perceived were being made about how MattDos should be fine running the Texans but that the WunderlicWonder [VY] was going to have problems going into the game for "the Dream Team" [Philadelphia].  What was amazing was to hear the guys on the radio actually get most of the counter-arguments RIGHT.

My point, if you have been stoic enough to make it this far, is that I believe that these are indications that the Texans have achieved the lowest level of relevancy, folks, indicated by:

  1. Cowturd-fans going out of their way to snipe at us.
  2. National media types sporadically removing their heads from their butts long enough to get one or two facts straight about the Texans.

Earlier this week on NFL Radio I heard Solomon Wilcotts (sp?) talk at length comparing the way that the Texans organization was being cultivated to resemble the New England Patriots organization.  I was stunned.  I know it; You know it; but apparently now folks outside our happy little sphere of influence know it as well.

It is a good time to be a Texan fan.

That is all; as you were.
