A good friend of mine

is a Husker fan. We argue over the 1997 National Championship all the time (because I don’t think Tom Osborne should have gotten half a title as a parting gift just because his QB cried on TV like a girl). The bet for this year: loser has to send a group email admitting that the winner is the real national champ from that year and can no longer claim that title in football arguments.

by Its Gonna Happen on Nov 19, 2011 6:36 PM CST via mobile reply actions

no

"Well if they've been watching football, i dont think they would say its the same old Texans. I went down. Mario went down. Danieal Manning went down and right now we're sitting at the top of the AFC. If they feel that way they were bandwagoners anyways. So thats the way i feel about it." Andre Johnson

To bad he'll be able to beat his Tim Tebow drum all week again.

He’ll avoid talking about OU.

Prediction: 11-5 AFC South champions.

BCS top 10 is going to look funky when the new standings come out.

OU choked when they could have jumped up to 3 maybe 2. Oregon and OSU go down as well as Clemson.

Not sure what the rules are but I don’t think two teams from the same conference can play in the NCG so VT,Stanford,Boise ST and Houston will probably get into the top ten and they will all have a chance at the NC (I think).

Prediction: 11-5 AFC South champions.

Oh

I thought the NC game always belongs to two SEC teams unless someone else can make a good case for admittance.

LSU will win it thats a given.

I just wonder who they’ll face. Interestingly Arkansas could move up to 3rd giving CFB three SEC in the top three spots.

Prediction: 11-5 AFC South champions.

Of courses that's if LSU can beat Arkansas next week.

That will be tough because that game has been tough on LSU in the past.

Prediction: 11-5 AFC South champions.

Not just the same conference, possibly even two teams from the same division in their conference

I think

that UH beating SMU by 30 is a better win than Boise beating San Diego St. by 17, I think Boise drops below UH.

by Bobbythegreat on Nov 19, 2011 11:19 PM CST up reply actions

UH might jump Boise but the way Clemson lost to a struggling NC State team will drop them out of the top ten.

So regardless I think UH will be 10th or 9th. They win out they might hit 7th.

Prediction: 11-5 AFC South champions.

Depends on how the

rest of the season plays out, there has been a lot of surprises so far, who knows how many more there are to come.

by Bobbythegreat on Nov 19, 2011 11:25 PM CST up reply actions

Doesn't look that way

Plus, Boise’s got the best win on the season…..they beat SEC East Champion Georgia. Houston can’t match that.

However Houston hasn't lost yet

Did you know there's a Baylor blog on SBN now?

Yes. There is. They’ve made the big time.

Curse you UTEP

for not completing the trifecta of Oklahoma losses this weekend.

Ill take 2 out of 3.

Especially when your talking about UTEP winning.

How sad will it be

if UH is 11-1 and doesn’t get a shot at the Conference Championship game?

by T-Moar on Nov 19, 2011 11:35 PM CST up reply actions

I hesitated and wound up not being able to get tickets to today's game.

And I won’t be able to make the CUSA championship game either.

No.

But when you’re relying on a UTEP win to clinch the Noklahoma Trifecta, you’re stretching your hopes just a bit.

Well

I wasn’t exactly expecting Baylor to do their part. Wanting, yes. But I don’t like OU, period, and I was hoping Baylor would pull it out.
