I hate bye weeks. I hate them with a passion. I can appreciate the need for players to recharge and heal at some point during the season, but as a fan I hate it. While it was fun seeing the BE-SF's lose to the Browns (the BROWNS!), and the Jags lose to someone (I don't even care enough to look it up, they don't worry me to suddenly make a run and take us on for the division). However the only team I really care about is our Texans.
Now we get 4 days of Cowgirl BS (OMG they've won like 3 (4?) in a row and could be the greatest team evar!) and speculation on the other Thursday games that I don't care about. Our Texans will get overlooked (as usual) until Matt Leinart proves he can step in and keep this thing rolling, and most of the attention (that's not focused on Thursday games) will flip between Chicago (did you know they lost their QB?) and the reemergence of VY fanboys everywhere (may you all die terrible, painful deaths). Hell, even pancakes is giddy about his return (and my tweet response to his tweet about VY got me 4 new followers).
Hopefully this week will go quickly, ending with too many leftovers and another solid win for our guys in battle red and steel blue. A big middle finger to the media, VY fanboys, Pancakes, dumb ass sports radio callers, and everyone that puts any AFC team ahead of the Texans in a power ranking. Bring on the Jags, let's get this 4 game win streak rolling to a 10 gamer (plus playoffs).
