News via Rotoworld. The Jaguars' defense has been battered by injuries over the past two weeks as Cox joins LB Clint Session and CB Rashean Mathis on IR. Terrance Knighton and Matt Roth have not practiced this week. This is going to be an extremely different Jaguars defense than the one we saw just a month ago.

Leinart could not be in a better situation now.

The Jags’ #3 corner is going to be trying to cover Andre? And their #4 has only been on the team for like two weeks.

And their pass-rushing guys up front are all injured too…

The Texans have no excuses this weekend.

by Hurricane8765 on Nov 25, 2011 1:59 PM CST reply actions

This says otherwise
Jaguars placed CB Derek Cox (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Cox had been sporting crutches due to swelling in his knee this week. The Jaguars have now lost both starting corners in successive weeks. This is why it’s so hard to predict fantasy schedules down the stretch. A previously stout defense will also be without NT Terrance Knighton, OLB Clint Session, and perhaps DE Matt Roth. Signed through 2012, Cox should return as a starter.

Who's ready to be 8-3 on Sunday?

Nothing is ever guranteed (look back at the Ravens-Jaguars suckfest a few weeks back, for instance). But, its looking like the red carpet has been rolled out for Sunday.

If Schaub were starting, I would predict an absolute bloodbath. But the Texans will have to settle for a mere slaughter, instead. Leinart is getting his first start in some extremely favorable conditions, let’s hope he takes full advantage.
