The AD and Sumlin are already working on a new deal, so he won't leave for money.

Houston’s going to what is, at the moment, at least, an AQ school, so the chance to coach for a contender isn’t going to do it.

And he’s built something that has a chance to be great, why would he go somewhere else where he’d have to start all over again?

I've put out the idea that we turn the Dome into a public market

like Pike Place in Seattle. Make covered parking out of solar panels to run the AC. Plenty of parking except for football Sundays and rodeo. A small price to pay for an actual tourist attraction and something cool for the city.

“I don’t want to bring the circus to town,” Smith told King. Smith also said Favre has “no interest” in another comeback and hasn’t even thrown a football in a month. Smith’s knowledge of Favre’s recent activities suggests the Texans have indeed explored the possibility. if Peyton can come back I want to trade out of #1 for a massive haul

Morris Claiborne in the first would be fantastic. pick up one of the best safeties in the 2nd. A WR in the top 3 rounds and just generally stock up on talent for a couple final SB runs with Peyton.

If Peyton can’t then it’s full rebuild with Luck.

I don't think the issue is salary so much as value.

You can get such a haul for Luck that I don’t think you can pass on that if you aren’t going to play him right away. You can get several likely contributors right away instead of a guy you don’t plan to play for a couple years.

Nope

I had pegged Yates as a Texan in many mocks….he’s a good fit for the system. The goal will be getting him used to NFL speed and not making rookie mistakes.

And….you know…..rookie QBs haven’t been terribad this season, Gabbert excluded.

If he could be Dalton-esque….that’d be great.

probably depends on the score. if the rookie is doing okay he might give him more. if he is doing okay or struggling he might limit the playbook.

I like the skill set he has to work with

But like you said, game speed will be the biggest thing, especially in the playoffs. I think he’ll be fine if Andre can get his game cranked back up to a high level in a hurry. Yates need someone that can get wide open for him to reduce his reads. The longer he has to hold the ball the bigger the potential for disaster.

I completely disagree

You don’t want to tip the ball and allow the defense to get a tip drill. The problem was more with the route, not with his effort.

Bowe F'd up twice.

First he throws his hand up as if he wanted the go pattern pass then he doesn’t try to keep the pass from getting picked off.

Throw in his easy dropped TD pass and he had a terrible night.

Prediction: 11-5 AFC South champions.
