BRBAPALOOZA: Reminder
We haven't talked about it for a few weeks, so I wanted to remind everyone that our regular-season watch party is indeed still on. It'll be three weeks from tonight, on December 22nd, for the AFC South clash between your Houston Texans and the Indianapolis Colts. Other details are after the jump.
WHAT: BRBAPALOOZA (Texans v. Colts)
WHEN: Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 7 p.m. (though I'd suggest getting there earlier to ensure a good seat.)
WHERE: 360 Sports Lounge.
SPECIALS: $2.00 domestic drafts (yes, Shiner will be considered a domestic for us), $3.00 wells, and happy hour prices for all appetizers on the menu.
WHO: Texans fans, including but not limited to BRB luminaries such as you, that guy, that person, and you know, the dude with that clever user name.
Come one, come all. It'll be a good time. Who knows--there's even a chance that game could be the Texans' chance to clinch the division.
Awwww, horsefeathers. Now I've gone and jinxed it.
If you're planning on attending, let us know in the Comments so we can provide our gracious hosts with an approximate head count.

Dedication
Next year, when I come to Houston for my first Texans game not in Miami, this is how I’m getting there…

To make it clearer, I’ll be leaving Thursday morning and arriving Saturday afternoon by Greyhound. 5 Transfers, including a 2.5 hours layover in Southern Oklahoma early saturday morning. In total, the commute is about 50 hours, a bit more.

why?
isn’t there a shorter flight?

I think you need to find a better flight plan

Greyhound, not flying.
I look every once in a while, can never find a roundtrip flight for under $800, and that’s without fees.

Wow... It'd be cheaper to just MOVE...

Maybe…. gotta finish my Bachelor’s first. Looking at next year’s schedule, I might be able to make the trip out to Foxborro or New York… and if Baltimore wins their division, might be able to convince a friend to make the trip down to Houston with me. I REALLY want to see a game at Reliant though…

Just drive
At an average gas cost of $3.50 per gallon, at 25 miles per gallon, you’ll spend about $275 each way on gas – about $550 overall. Throw in an extra oil change and it’s about $600 for the whole trip.
Houston Texans fan, first and foremost.
College football teams: Army, Syracuse, Texas, Auburn.
If you travel to Albany, NY, you can take Southwest Airlines RT to Houston-Hobby Airport for about $360 American

My wife and I will be in town, and talked my parents into watching the kids (wasnt really that hard). My brother is going to meet us there, too.
I have been looking into plane flight back to Houston for that time, but it just won't happen.

Yep, that is the word
The Texans should have a good read on McNabb, seeing how he bombed at Texans East, Redskins….

Is it a possibility this game could be flexed off of Thursday?
If so is there a backup plan?
"Never underestimate the dumb with JJ" - Hugh Jarce
No Flexing For Thursday Night Or Monday Night Games
The only games that can be flexed are games that are played on Sunday.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

which why we have the Eagles Vs. Seahawks barn-burner tonite.
I mean, who in their right mind thought “Hey, this will be a great game. Let’s make it primetime.” Sure, the Eagles were suppose to be good, but did anyone think Seattle was going to improve upon last year’s impressive 7-9 season?
Hey
They beat NO in the Playoffs!

It is actually looking like I might make this.
I have to be in Htown for Christmas at my gf’s house anyway and I have the 23rd off, so I am thinking I will take vacation the 22nd and drive down that day. May be late as it is a 600 mile drive from where I am, but I am going to do my best.
For head count, make it two….gf might make it if she can find relatives to watch her munchkin for us.
Just my $.02

And 7+ as a rough estimate. Shiner domestics is heaven for my friends and I.
