Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

Hi, Cowboys fan here

First I want to congratulate you on the amazing season you are having. Second I want to get your thoughts on if Texans will resign Mario Williams. A lot of Cowboy fans think that the Cowboys could sign him in the offseason, but I think there is no way he is not franchised at the least. Want to know your thoughts on if he will be a Texan next year.

Scary

To think that they would have super mario and demo ware is ridiculous. I hope that would not happen.

I expect him to be a Texan, naturally, but....

there’s no denying we’ve done well without him, so it’s not beyond the realm of possibility they (reluctantly, i’m sure) might let him go.

great that will just feed all of the rolls clamoring for Mario

Michael Vick- $100 million
Nnamdi Asomugha- $60 million
Asante Samuel- $60 million
Desean Jackson- $0 million
Eagles spending a ton of money and going another year without a superbowl- PRICELESS

The issue with Mario is

when he’s healthy, he’s incredible and a game changer.

He gets hurt and plays hurt a lot, and it shows. It’s hard to justify big money for a guy who can’t put 100% on the field for 16-19 games a season.

He’d be scary alongside Ware, but I can’t see Jones working a good enough trade deal for the Texans to consider it.

I honestly could see the Texans franchise tagging him with the understanding that

if he has a healthy 2012 and performs as expected, he’ll get his big contract in 2013 and beyond. If he can’t perform and/or gets hurt again in 2012, he’s trade fodder.

Franchise and Trade is the only way he's not on the Texans next season.

No way the Texans would let him walk without getting something for him.

I would shoot someone

If the Cowboys, were to just sign Mario off the street.
