Bud Adams Names Oilers Legend Mike Munchak Head Coach
As you have likely heard by now, Bud Adams replaced Jeff Fisher by promoting Mike Munchak to head coach today. Munchak is a Hall of Famer who, though he's coached the Tennessee offensive line for many years, retired a Houston Oiler, so Houston fans have a special reverence for Munchak that's not necessarily there for other minions of Bud Adams' Army of Darkness.
Your thoughts on the hire, BRB? Good for the Texans? Painful as a Houston fan? Totally irrelevant?

Irrelevant
The only part of me that cares is to see what Bruce Matthews does…given that he just signed a new contract but is BFFs with Munchak.
"Lord, beer me strength."
He's gone.
I can’t see any scenario where he doesn’t join Munchak in Methopotamia.
Sigh. Another relic of my dead fandom fully consumed by Bud Adam’s Army of Darkness.

Really?
I don’t see that happening. Matthews just turned down a gig elsewhere (I shall not say where) and has very little experience. Seems to me he likes where he is.
Never use a metaphor, simile, or other figure of speech which you are used to seeing in print.
Never use a long word where a short one will do.
If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out.
Never use the passive where you can use the active.
Never use a foreign phrase, a scientific word, or a jargon word if you can think of an everyday English equivalent.
Break any of these rules sooner than say anything outright barbarous.

The only reason he might stay is because of family
I saw him out at his kids football game this year, so the fact he has young children might make him want to hang around here. If he’s serious about moving up the coaching ladder then going to a new team, working with a whole new set of coaches, is probably a decent career move, even if it is for a “lateral”.

Most importantly...
Does he just winz gamez?
A Texans fan. Really. No, I'm not kidding.

I like Munchak
So it pisses me off that Beelzebud promoted him. I want my hatred of that team to be complete and total.
It makes me sad
to see Munchak still working for the devil. I have a signed jersey from both him and Bruce Matthews hanging in my room and was so happy when Matthews came to work for the Texans. I was really hoping that somehow Munchak would do the same when Fischer got fired.
