Swing-Miss

Isn’t this already the plan? Except, they only have mostly singles and just a couple HRs to show for it? I know, wrong sport, but its a metaphor! Long story short, lots of strikeouts, IMO. But, Lance’s plan is the plan already. Just need to execute it. How about hiring a head coach that exudes confidence and can head coach a little, and hiring a GM who can manage personnel some.

I agree

When I read the article I was wondering why it was written. Maybe for the Comical readers that don’t see much besides what pancakes writes.

I really think Lance got all the stuff in his article off of BRB :)

Can we sue collectively him for plagiarism then?

Boy, I got those kinda mixed up, but you get what I mean

Can we, the BRBers, sue him for plagiarism?

isnt that the plan for virtually every team?

Aye, nothin' new.

However, note the attention he gives the “planetoid NT”: 4th/5th round. As I’ve long insisted, a rotational (i.e., running-down only) player is far from our biggest need on defense.

Thanks for the Front Page bump

Lance is often a good read, despite the general hatred of all things comicle.

I thought the same as those above me, this is all stuff we already know and already have been putting out there for some time.

Here's my idea to improve the Texans

Hire Daryl Morey for the week to run the draft & negotiate trades

Any other day I'd say yup.

But watching Landry and Ariza throwing down huge dunks tonight made me temporarily angry at him again. Landry was seriously my favorite player of all time.

Yet we didn't get the point production out of them that we got out of Kevin Martin

At least we know that the Rockets need a either superstar or even just a competent center to compete. Hell, all the Rockets really need is a poor man’s Dikembe Mutombo to guard the paint & get rebounds. Morey knows how to build a team around a player, but it’s not his fault said player’s body couldn’t hold up. That alone shows he more competent than Rick Smith

Yes, it is very easy to point to the Rockets needs

a healthy presence in the middle. They are really one solid center away.

away from what

being a contender for a 6, 7 or 8 seed i agree.

even a starting lineup of Howard, hayes, bud, kmart, lowry is still pretty piss poor, mainly on perimeter defense

we need a center and chris paul

by AllenOU on Apr 25, 2011 10:10 AM CDT up reply actions

So, either Lowry or Martin must go?

We don't need Chris Paul

We need someone like Andrew Bynum or Kendrick Perkins

It is one thing for folks to list players they want

I suppose what they are saying is they want someone like that and it is hard to disagree. The team does need an inside defensive presence who can score at will and they need an outside defensive presence who can also turn in triple doubles. Yes, the Rockets need that! Okay, I guess we solved it then. What is Morey waiting for? Go get it, Morey! You have the list of needs….

If I wanted to ask for the impossible

I’d ask for Chuck Hayes to grow 6 inches taller

I disagree with Quin to SS

I’m down with moving him to FS but I don’t think his skill set is suited for SS.

I'm a man!! I'm forty!!

by Hydroshock on Apr 25, 2011 10:16 AM CDT reply actions

Actually I think SS is the spot for him, especially in a defense where both safeties are supposed to cover deep

Put Rahim Moore next to him, & that would be a good safety combo

They're going to draft

At least one player I’ve never heard of in the first three rounds. I can’t wait.

Needs more nose tackle.
