Open Thread: Countdown To The 2011 NFL Draft

Just two more days, my people.  Just two more days.  After you trudge your way through Thursday, the 2011 NFL Draft shall be upon us. After the jump, I'll let you know what we'll be doing here on BRB for the Draft over the next few days.

This is the first of your open countdown threads. These are designed for all of you to discuss any thoughts, rumors, scenarios, targets, and the like as we inch toward the draft. At 5:30 p.m. CST on Thursday, the official open thread for Thursday's festivities will appear on the main page. That's your spot to comment as the draft itself goes down. Once your Houston Texans make their pick (or trade), we'll get a separate post up where everyone can comment on the newest Texan and/or development. The aforementioned open thread will stay open throughout the night, so return there to comment on the remainder of the draft proceedings.

On Friday morning, we hope to get a more detailed entry up about what the Texans did on Thursday night. Additionally, we'll open another countdown thread for everyone to comment in as we head toward the second and third rounds starting on Friday evening. At 4 p.m. CST, we'll get another official open thread up for Friday night's festivities. Again, that'll be your spot to comment as the second and third rounds unfold. After each Texans move or pick in the second and third round, we'll have separate posts up announcing the newest Texan and/or development; that'll be your spot to wax poetic about what the Texans did. As with Thursday night, the open thread for the second and third rounds will be there for all of us to comment as Friday night progresses.

Come Saturday morning, we hope to get detailed entries up for what the Texans did in the second and third rounds. We'll have yet another open thread (and we'll open more as necessary) go up on the main page at 8:30 a.m. CST for you to contribute your thoughts live as Rounds Four through Seven happen, and we'll get separate posts up as each new Texan is dubbed and/or trade(s) is/are made.

On Sunday or Monday, the goal is to post detailed entries on those who were made Texans in the fourth through seventh rounds.

Got it? Good.

One more note, and then I'll shut up. Remember that BRB can be accessed from your mobile device (included but not limited to cell phones), so don't let being away from your computer--be it at work, Reliant, a bar, a draft party, birth, or what have you--keep you from chiming in. We're all anxious to read what you have to say as the draft unfolds.

Alright. I'm done. Let's do this.
