Updated Draft and Free Agency Predictions.

This upcoming draft for the Houston Texans will be the most important in team history. I will briefly explain. Anything short of a playoff appearance, will result in a likely termination of head coach Gary Kubiak. Anything less of a winning season will probably mean that our team will have to enter a re-building period. Now on to what to do.

The first round will greatly influence rounds 2&3. Also I see us getting another second round pick this year if either Tate is traded or if we move down. These scenarios are based on the assumption that the CBA can be mended and that Tate is traded to Patriots or Dolphins because of this years weak RB class.

1st OLB:

1 Robert Quinn, OLB

2 Brandon Harris, CB

2 Torrey Smith, WR

3 Jerrel Powe, NT

Advantages: The major advantage of this scenario is that we could land a generally proven group. All players except Quinn all don't have any major question marks and each would fill a hole well. Torrey Smith could be available if, for example, we received the Patriots' pick. If we get a lower pick than Kentucky's Randall Cobb would be a good pick too. Jerrel Powe is probably the second best traditional nose tackle and that would fill a huge hole along with Brandon Harris at CB.

1st WR:

1 Julio Jones, WR

2 Brandon Harris, CB

2 Dontay Moch, OLB

3 Jerrel Powe, NT

Advantages: The advantage with this scenario is it would provide a huge plus to the offense. This scenario is unlikely but could happen if there is a lack of defensive talent a pick 11. On the defensive side I still see a steady group much like the last scenario. However I think Dontay Moch has a very high ceiling and could be very effective as an OLB in a 3-4.

1st CB:

1 Prince Amukamara, CB

2 Stephen Paea, DT

2 Dontay Moch, OLB

3 Emund Gates, WR

Advantages: This scenario is my favorite because of how weak our secondary is. Stephen Paea in my opinion could be a very good NT if used right and there is no doubt that Wade Phillips couldn't use Paea. Also Dontay Moch has so much upside that I believe he will be a very good addition to what is a talented but shallow LB group. Edmund Gates, in terms of value, is my favorite WR. He is extremely fast, has good size and is only being overlooked because of the school he went to.

Rounds 4-7:

4. Chris Cullivert, S: This safety has extremely good measurables with a 4.36 40, 38.5" vertical leap and 6' 200 pound frame and he has no glaring weakness.

5. Alex Henery, K: If this Nebraska kicker is still available when we pick in the fifth round, we should pounce on him. He is an extremely good kicker and also can do punts. Rackers is barely cutting it and Turk needs to go.

6.Mana Silva, S: Mana Silva out of Hawaii is gaining some recognition on the site bleacher report. He is a little big for his position but his work ethic and production check out. He recorded one of very few interceptions on Boise State's Kellen Moore and made a game saving interception against Nevada's Colin Caepernick.

7. QB with Highest Ceiling

Mr. Irrelevant: Suggestions would be nice in the comment section.
