In the far reaches of the ancient dusty past there used to be a singer/actor named Mac Davis.  Mac Davis was also a song-writer apparently and one of the things that he would do in his live act is get people to give him a topic and he'd write a song right there for them.

So, if you're interested in trying this, here's what we'll do.  You reply with a topic (preferably related to the Texans), and a song title (either an oldie or a TV show theme song or a commercial jingle) and I'll try to write a verse or two of a song about that topic that could be sung to that tune.

Now in doing this I run the risk of embarrassing myself in a variety of ways:

1. I may not be able to do it (duh...)
2. I may not know your song (and I am an old fart so please keep it simple...)  If I don't know your song, I'll just have to reply with "Don't know it" and either get you to pick another song or you can call "dealer's choice" and I'll try to come up with one for you.
3. The attempt may suck... Them's the breaks.

However, I've embarrassed myself before and will do it again so let's give this a try if you're interested.  It could also be kinda' entertaining.

Bear in mind each one may take a little time, so just because you don't instantly get a song, don't think I've given up.  I'll reply and note each one that I think I can take on.
