Whew. It had been a few days since we mentioned Scrabble around here. I was starting to get worried people might forget about him.

First comment on this whole "Asomugha to Houston" thing
and it’s not even directly at Asomugha.
I just wanted to say how much I love AJ speaking up and letting the FO know what he wants. But not in a bitchy-whiny TO way. It’s to make the team better.
I really hope that we win a superbowl. I think AJ deserves to have that in his resume.
Capt. Nately: You're a shameful opportunist! What you don't understand is that it's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.

How does this not have 100 recs?
Seriously.

Um
it was my first comment about the whole “Houston to Asomugha” banter going around BRB.

No, you started your comment off "first" on the first post
which is a clear violation of decent blogging

Can't believe you used the word "decent"
In a reply to Jordann.

Don't make me kick one of BFD's kitties again.

using the word "decent" and "blogging"
and you really wanna talk about decent blogging?
You should read the whole subject line by the way.
It never said FIRST! or FIRST?!?!! or FIRTS! or FRITS! or first
And it never said “First comment on this post about AJ lobbying for Leach to be re-signed and lobbying for Asomugha to Houston.”
First comment on this whole “Asomugha to Houston” thing
Let me put more emphasis on that. Just for you.

I wanna say he was just joking with you.
But I can’t be certain.
Bacon tastes good... Pork chops taste good.
My seriousness is on strike until free agency starts
Then again, am I serious about that?

If Scrabble came to Houston...
and it was even partially AJ’s doing, I say we should start work on the statue. Who’s with me?
We'll get to it once we're done with the lifesize Frank Bush voodoo doll

No, they have to redo it since he's with the BESFs now

Yeah, right before he got fired
We need another one to ensure he keeps the same tendencies with the BESFs that made our defense so putrid

Well I think that
If Andre Johnson manages to talk Asomugha into signing with the Texans, there should be a giant statue built in his likeness on the scale of the “Christ the Redeemer” statue in Rio. It shall be called Andre the Redeemer and all Texans fans will leave tribute at the base of it before the start of every season.

what is this football thing you speak of?
"If my hips had pockets, I wouldn't wear pants at all." @NotBurtReynolds
And that's why Andre Johnson is the man
Even in his ninth season, he wants to make his practices even harder.
"Lord, beer me strength."
Brett Favre is inquring
what the word “practice” means.

What is this? A thread about AJ without something like this?

I know it has been in a fan post before, but is there such a thing as too much (of this)?

we might not want to display that so prominently
That might keep good free agent CB’s away. I mean, would you want to deal with that everyday in practice?
"If my hips had pockets, I wouldn't wear pants at all." @NotBurtReynolds
Better facing that in practice than in games

2 cents. . .
I’m usually all for shrewd financial planning and movements, but if there is a guy to go all-in on, it’s Nnamdi.
His on field play speaks for itself: Named to Fox Sports All-Decade team and multiple All-Pro Teams throughout his career.
Off the field he’s the kind of guy everyone in the Organization from the top down talks about having as a Texan-
The Asomugha Foundation operates two primary programs: Orphans and Widows In Need (OWIN) and Asomugha College Tour for Scholars (ACTS).
Asomugha was named a Home Depot Neighborhood MVP 2007
In 2008, Asomugha was presented with The President’s Volunteer Service Award. An award that was established to recognize the important contributions Americans of all ages are making within their communities through service and civic engagement.
Essence Magazine selected Asomugha as one of the "Do Right Men of 2008", highlighting his success and philanthropic endeavors.
Asomugha has been recognized by fellow members of the NFL Players Association who nominated him in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 for the Byron “Whizzer” White Award for Outstanding Community Service.
Asomugha was also nominated for the prestigious Sports Illustrated 2008 Sportsman of the Year award.
In 2009, Asomugha was named to the "Dream Team for Public Service" by the Jefferson Awards for Public Service.
In 2010, Asomugha was presented with the 44th annual Byron “Whizzer” White NFL Man of the Year, the NFL Players Association’s (NFLPA) highest honor.
In 2010, Asomugha became the ambassador for United Way of the Bay Area UWBA, dedicated to creating long-lasting change and ensuring all Bay Area residents have access to the building blocks to a better life: education, income and health.
In 2011, Asomugha was named one of three finalists for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.
If there was a person to take a risk on and give him a giant contract, it’s him and not dirtbags like Albert Haynesworth or Terrell Owens. He has earned the right to break the bank in free-agency, and I would love to have him as an ambassador to the Houston area, even if he didn’t play a single meaningful down for us. But he could be the kind of guy that helps transform this team into the first class organization that it can be. . .

I am shocked to see another Scrabble Post (well, shot anyways)
I believe if Asomugha ends up in Houston, we have AJ to thank for that vault or no vault.

Andre sure is making alot of noise this offseason…
I hope at least that Leach sticks around.

Personally, I welcome as many Nnamdi articles as we can get.
I hope we somehow land him.

We couldn't even land Leigh Bodden.

TBH
He wanted to return to New England from the get go and only used Houston as leverage.
"Lord, beer me strength."
I just don't wanna get my hopes up.
I thought we had an actual shot to land a 2nd tier CB. It didn’t happen.
So what makes me think that we can land a top-tier CB? None.
Pessimism? Or Logic?
