"..important to re-sign...Jacoby Jones and Rashad Butler"
That's from Nick Scurfeld's twitterati account, quoting (paraphrasing?) Gary Kubiak. Click the link for the whole thing.
This shouldn't be considered a surprise. With the short training off-season and even smaller likely free agent window, teams will put a premium on bringing back players.
Obviously, keeping Jakespeare around will be a key part of our team running jokes going forward.

Nick needs a photo
without the suit. Really – he is a Texans spokesman or for some law firm?

I can see why
Butler’s the top reserve tackle. Lose him and who do you have? That raw 7th round rookie?
Jacoby…..they lose him and WR depth takes a hit…..plus there’s no one else out there that’s a clear upgrade. Kind of screwed there, but it is what it is
"Lord, beer me strength."
I wuld like to see Jacoby back
…but Dorin Dickerson has plenty of physical tools as well. We could easily survive losing Jones.

I'm not saying easily survive
About someone who hasn’t proven anything yet.
"Lord, beer me strength."
Not just because of Dickerson
I think we could easily make up Jacoby’s production. It might be a combination of DA, Dickerson, and one of our 40 TE’s. Jacoby’s gotten better, but he’s still not a finished product. I would prefer he’s back, but losing him isn’t going to get me too upset. Injuries can change all that in a heartbeat though.

The only WRs in FA that I would say are upgrades over JJ
Are Steve Breaston and Sidney Rice. Since Rice will be getting number 1 WR contract offers he’s out of the question. So Getting JJ back will be very important because even with the drops he had 51 catches 500+ yards and is an important part of this passing offense.
Mike Sims Walker might be another option but he’’s not as appealing to me if we could get Breaston who could possibly be elevated to the number 2 spot day one.
No matter how bad it gets,I will believe. It's the only thing I have left for the Texans.
LOVE Stevie Breaston
I’d take him over JJ without hesitation.

Yeah so do I.
I hope he’s the Texans target at WR if the front office decides not to get JJ.

I don't think it will be so much "not getting JJ"
As what they may get for him.
