Luv Ya Steel Blue: The Blue World Order
Yes, you can't get rid of us that easily, loyal listeners. Just when you think you're free of us, we turn up like a bad habit every single time.
Even though I've went to the dark side and joined the nWo, Tim has been gracious enough to let us continue to taint your eardrums with new material.
And with the start of preseason football, that can only mean one thing; a new episode of Luv Ya Steel Blue that actually has discussion of a real, live NFL game. In it, Aaron, Pat the Stat and myself dive right into it by discussing the starters (1.21 gigaWATT looks strong), the rookies (did you guys know Pat likes Brooks Reed's hair?) and even the undrafted guys (Jean Cuisine!). We tackle the highs (the pass rush!), the lows (Brice McCain makes me want to kick a baby in the face) and the non-existent (Dorin Dickerson, where are you?). We might have some Rex Ryan love in there as well.
There is plenty of talk about how The Son of Bum is making his presence known already, the absurd discussion of giving up on Mario after about 12 seconds in a new position, the lunacy of needing an elite #2 wide receiver and the ridiculous amount of injuries that are piling up. And it wouldn't be a Battle Red Blog post without mentioning a little NT lust in there.
A brief preview of the upcoming match up with my B team, The New Orleans Saints, may have reared it's ugly head as well.
All this, plus we take you around the NFL. Give us a listen by downloading the mp3 file below and you will all remain on my Christmas card list. I promise.

Thanks, as always, for listening.

And then I hear what your favorite preseason game would be…

I wonder if it's a difference between TV watching and stadium watching
because I thought McCain looked pretty solid while Brooks Reed looked hesitant and timid

I was sitting with the three musketeers
We all thought mccain looked awful, and the plays where he “broke up” passes seemed to be more on the reciever and QB than mccain. There were other plays that werent on TV that mccain messed up, but since the ball wasnt thrown his way, no one really noticed
I saw Reed in the backfield quite a few times. He blew up mcknight and almost had a monster sack on that play. He looked timid at first, but showed off that burst quite a bit in the last 3 quarters

I don’t believe Tennessee’s made him an offer yet…and they won’t until he comes to camp
and loses all his leverage like Finnegan did. Since he’s lost so much 2011 salary, there’s no reason for him to show up without him getting the large deal he wants.
HOLD OUT, CHRIS! NO CASH, NO DASH!

I'm looking forward to hearing TB's Broncos take every week
He’s hit a new negativity level on this one

I saw part of the Falcons game tonight. Their offense looks very good. The defense isn’t bad either, without Dunta Robinson. They have a good corps of WRs and along with Ryan and their running game, I can see why they can win some games this season.
I didn't do anything wrong!.... and, I won't do it again.
great show guys
aaron is a debby downer like always though
