Will Arian Foster's Hamstring Be Ready For Week One?

Stay connected for news and updates

After aggravating the hamstring that had kept him out of much of training camp, the current word about Arian Foster's status for the regular season opener against the Colts is "uncertain."

"I can't tell you right now, but I'm hopeful," [Foster] said in the locker room after the game. "I'm going to work towards it."

The league leader in rushing yards and touchdowns in 2010, Foster said that he re-aggravated his hamstring while making a cut.

"It’s frustrating," he said. "It’s just part of life. (It's a) roller coaster ride, so you’ve gotta remain even-keeled.

"It wasn’t a pop or anything like that. It was just a re-aggravation of what I already had, so I'll probably bounce back quicker than I did last time."

Gary Kubiak probably said it best, noting, "We have 15 days, so we’ll just keep our fingers crossed that he recovers." While I don't think Foster's hammy will keep him out of the regular season opener, his susceptibility to re-injuring that hamstring could become something to watch as the season rolls on.
