As I work to get the names right in this post (just for you Nashmeister), I want to point out that this type of injury will be a nag for Arian Foster for at least the next several weeks. This type of injury can take months to fully recover from. Our saving grace is that we have an offensive line that has been impressive so far and 2 back up RB's that help carry the load. Derrick Ward & Ben Tate have been watching and learning. I have seen Ward and Tate (more so Ward from last season since Tate was hurt) become more patient as they run to allow their blockers to get the job done before making moves. Foster's biggest impact, aside from his 2010 rushing title, is that he has helped these backs become better. Sure, defenses will try to defend the pass more so when Foster is out of the line up, but we can make these defenses pay with our depth at RB. With Slaton on the way to be released or used as trade bait (hopefully not just wishful thinking), we even have a strong young 3rd strong RB from UT that can offer his services in time of need. So as ESPN analysts go crazy in the art of creating non issue drama, our Offense is fine with a healthy Owen Daniels, Andre Johnson, Matt Schaub, and incredible depth at RB. So let Foster rest in this last Preseason game, Allow the starters to play just 1-2 series, and BRING ON THE COLTS!
