Link. Well, the title pretty much tells the story. Warren is an experienced veteran who at the very least could have provided depth and leadership had the Texans managed to sign him. I somehow doubt that Rick Smith and co. placed much priority on signing him, what with all the injuries he's had.
With Warren signed, there are very few quality defensive linemen still available as free agents. If the Texans are to acquire any more depth on the D-line, it will have to come in the form of lower-tier free agents or undrafted rookies. Judging from the lack of interest in defensive line free agents so far, it seems Wade Phillips is continuing to be confident in his ability to make do with what the Texans already have.
