Saturday's BRB Madden Tournament: T-Shirts Are In!

For real. I'm looking at a box of 'em right now. With that, I can say with certainty that BRB t-shirts will be available for purchase at the inaugural BRB Madden Tournament at 360 Sports Lounge on Saturday. There are a limited amount of t-shirts available, so get there early--the event starts at 2 p.m. CDT--to increase your odds of purchasing a shirt that makes people look at you ~~and say, "What in the world is a Battle Red Blog?"~~ with envy. For those of you who can't be at 360 (or just get there too late to buy a shirt), I may order more shirts for future events (Texans-Niners watch party on August 27th, perhaps?) if there's enough of a demand.

The current list of attendees for Saturday afternoon's soiree is after the jump. I'd love to see more folks commit to coming; even if you don't want to play Madden, come by to hang out for a bit. It'll be good for a laugh, and you would be doing some good for the kids.

If your name should be added to this list, please let me know in the Comments; I want to get the bracket finalized tomorrow if possible.

i feel like

Matt Shaub will take the next step and become clutch this year. He showed it in the first half of the season last year, but lost it in the second half. He has gotten better every year since he became a starter and this shouldn’t be an exception

He has progressively gotten better, I’ll admit that. Hopefully injuries does not get to him. It’s always nice to have Owen Daniels as his security blanket especially in the start of the season so he should be better this year than last.

Is there an official BRB shirt yet? There needs to be, one we can buy online too for those of us who aren’t nearby. Even a polo and/or sweatshirt would be nice.

I wish we could hire coaches without "having grown up in Houston" being a job requirement.

I may attend.

I have a Flag Football game in the morning, which makes it hard to convince the wife that I ALSO need to go drink beer and play Madden in the afternoon.

BUT I may have found some leverage.

I won’t be playing in the tourney though as I suck at Madden right now.
