MY apologies to Kubiak and McNair
I have been away for a awhile (work etc, etc,), and now I find myself in Phoenix, AZ for school - counting the days till Oct 2012 so I can come to Houston! But in the past I have been very critical and vocal towards Kubiak - as some of you might remember. But after the great work the Texans have done in 2011 - I feel it is my turn to eat crow and apologize for my lack of convinction in the way the organization is ran. Therefore - I APOLOGIZE!
While watching the playoff game (and reading a "how to make a voodoo doll for dummies" book, for Jacoby Jones), I was stunned at how close it was until the very end, and despite the lose - I loved watching game, especially the Defense. That goal line stand and 4th an inches stop is permanently etched in my memory. Kudo's to Phillps - I new that he would make some great changes, given his reputation in defense schemes.
In retrospect - who else can take a third string rookie QB and let him lead a talented offense to the win a division and playoff game? Caldwell could not do it with a second stringer who was directly under Manning's tutelage. Yeah the Colts are hurting but I think they still have a decent receiving core (my opinion - subject to scrutiny). I think that is also another factor that contributed to his firing. Instead of the QB supporting the Offense - the Texans play-calling seemed to allow the Offense to come and support the rookie QB so it was not all thrust upon him all at once - that is genius. The interceptions, although regrettable - did not bother me as TJ Yates is still a rookie and Reed is a good player. Things could have been different if the Texans could have gotten one of those Flacco fumbles - but unfortunately it did not happen, but they ALL performed well (with one exception).
Now I look forward to next season, on that note. I hope Mario stays, people have already told me that he is gonna want more money and the Texans can't keep him because of that, but there have been players who have taken paycuts to stay where they were as they liked the organization and city. This may happen, or he may leave - regardless of the outcome I wish him the best.
Now I think my crow is done cooking so I better go eat some as Kubiak and McNair proved me wrong, and don't worry people there is plenty here for those of you who need some too - you know who you are. ;)

right? and they’re supposedly such an awesome franchise. As an outsider, I’d think that surely the Colts would have had the resources to not collapse as much as they did. It does make you appreciate what the Colts accomplished when they were making playoff runs. But the collapse was just totally unexpected.
