Raiders Offer Greg Knapp Offensive Coordinator Job
New Raiders head coach Dennis Allen knows who he wants as his offensive coordinator: Greg Knapp.
Knapp, who currently serves as the Texans’ quarterbacks coach, was offered Oakland’s offensive coordinator position, Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com is reporting.
If Knapp takes the job it won’t be the first time: He was also the Raiders’ offensive coordinator in 2007 and 2008. He has also been the offensive coordinator of the 49ers, Falcons and Seahawks in other NFL stints, and he and Allen were on the same coaching staff in Atlanta.

Really turned out well for Vick, because he is now a Great QB....smh
Probably not Knapp’s fault but ALL I can think of when I see his face is Michael Vick beside him ignoring 100% of what he’s trying to show/teach Vick during the game.
I don’t know what to think on the actual deal, because Kube is the man in charge of the Offense. He will be able to plug in someone else to help with the QB Coaching. Reading threw the comments makes me laugh, didn’t know Knapp was so disliked in Oakland.
True arrogance has been displayed here- WestministerRavensfan or something
Hi My name is Jack, why don't you help me off?
I think Knapp can work with carson.
Hate to see our staff get messed with but if it is ok for him then good for him
2012 1st round draft pick is...............
He wasn't all that impressive with the Seahawks either, as I recall.

Greg Knapp has agreed to deal to become Raiders offensive coordinator
2012 1st round draft pick is...............
Good for him
Say what you want but after the job he helped do with T.J, he deserves this.

This is where the cool is.
Now that is funny
Dont be surprise to see him leave soon too
2012 1st round draft pick is...............
yeahhh, bit stupid though, not a difficult fact to check...
and not this year though I don’t think, we wouldn’t let him move just laterally right?

who knows, Kubes will let guys leave if it is better for that person.
2012 1st round draft pick is...............
I thought he would never stand in their way if it's an upwards move
such as QB coach to OC, but I’m sure I’ve read/heard somewhere that his generosity doesn’t extend so much to purely lateral moves, I’m not sure.

maybe you are right.
it might not be up to him most of the time.
2012 1st round draft pick is...............
Who from that coaching tree is likely to come in and be our new QBs coach?
I’d have liked for Sherman to be here.
Welcome to Houston, J.J. Watt, Brooks Reed, Brandon Harris, Rashad Carmichael, Shiloh Keo, T.J. Yates, Derek Newton, and Cheta Ozougwu!
Do we really need a QB coach?
Kubes does not have worry about D at all. Dennison is OC, Scuab is QB coach himself.

Are you saying
Schaub is the new Peyton?

We needed one this past season
Knapp and Dennison worked their asses off getting TJ ready.
I would say Yes, we definitely need a QB coach.
Sherman was here as our OC before, wasn't that good

Knapp Got A Lot Of Credit (And Deservedly So)
For getting Yates, Delhomme, and Garcia up to speed on very short notice.
I wish him the best in Oakland, and I’m sorry to see him go.
Ecstatic that Texans fandom no longer means that April is the highlight of my season...
Well I don't believe you can just "go without" a standard position at the pro level.
Granted, Kubiak is a QB guru, but it would be unwise to not have a position coach on the team for Schaub and Yates. Kubiak can’t be on the sideline reviewing plays with our quarterbacks because he’s got to coach the game.
I’m not saying going without a QB coach would be impossible with the group of coaches we’ve got, but it would be extremely unwise.

Agree. ISTM one of the ways Koob has grown is learning to delegate.
It would be a shame to see him regress.

Here's a name to throw out there to replace Knapp
Jeff Garcia??
