The Journey of 'Dre
Friday Evening January 6, 2012 @ Reliant Stadium...
Reaching down and stroking the freshly installed grass field from his towering height of six foot three, Andre Johnson casually takes a knee at the fifty yard line of a football field where he has spent all nine years of his career in the NFL. As he looks over toward the north endzone, he reflects on sensational highlights over the years and fights back the memories of heartbreak that come with being in a new franchise fighting to define itself. In less than twenty four hours, he considers how all of that history of digging in deep every play over the years will finally transcend and materialize a new path toward championship competition for this team and these fans.
In the past, he had done it for them so often, but this season they did it for him. Before he has a chance to well up a tear, he feels a slap on his back. Kubiak: "This is it. What we all work for in this business. What are you thinking 'Dre?" Andre: "Let's do it coach. The team is ready. The fans are ready. I am ready."
Andre Johnson is not just one of the best football players to ever dress out in an NFL uniform. He's a great person. He remains humble no matter the recognition from incredible performances. He helps kids with so many charity programs and personal contribution of time, heart and money. He puts it all on the line in every game for his team mates and fans, and he always has. I sincerely hope nobody else ever wears the #80 for the Texans, and I also hope he still has many seasons ahead to enjoy the success he worked so hard to create over the last decade here in Houston, Texas. Friends and fellow Texans fans, please join me for a visual tour of...

Fantastic!
I only find two things disappointing about this Texan season. The first is the “post-clinch lull”, simply because I miss meaningful football after the emotional ending to the Bengals game. The other is Andre’s hamstring issues. I can take Mario being hurt, Shaub being hurt, even Arian being hurt, but not Andre. Every time Andre takes the field as a Texan, we are lucky to watch an all-time great athlete and person. This injury has taken that from us, but I think he will remind everyone who’s the best receiver in the NFL on Saturday.
its normal to be moist when talking about this guy right?
cuz im like a waterfall right now. just sayin.

I think we will learn that the Bo$$man was right
I turned the volume down to keep from being annoyed
The sound FX and commentary in the NFL Top 100 is priceless though
Awesomeness.
A Texans fan. Really. No, I'm not kidding.

Totally agree with this right here
I sincerely hope nobody else ever wears the #80 for the Texans
He’s our very own Jerry Rice. Not very many teams get an opportunity to experience a wide out as talented and down to earth as our very own ’Dre.
We all love you, Andre! Here’s to a great rest of your career and life after as well!
My thoughts are like Brian Cushing on the field: Everywhere.
Greatest post ____________(insert time period here)
Only one fault, I spy a Tracy Mcgrady jersey.
I'm a household name... at my house.
Michael Vick is the best throwing running back of all time.
My put your name on it prediction for the Housotn Texans.
10-6, with a first round playoff upset over either the Ravens or Steelers.
I'd love to know the story behind him wearing that jersey during the NFL draft
He grew up in Miami, but was he a Magic fan? Did he have a connection with Tracy? Inquiring fans want to know!
I like to think he was going old school

Damn you vile woman, you've impeded my work since the day I escaped your vile womb ...
Awesome. Best tribute I've ever seen to the greatest player ever to take the field.
