Letter to the Editor
I started trolling on this blog in 2009, and started posting about a year ago. The BRB content has without exception always been entertaining and insightful, sometimes even intelligent. But never before in the last 3 years have I seen such inspired, courageous, and honest writing as I have this week.
Don’t get me wrong; I love the sarcasm, the tireless deprecation of self, one-another and team, the relentless contempt of all things Methopotamic, and the irresistible hatred of Jerrah and his minions. I wouldn’t change these things for a minute.... they’re as comfortable to me as my recliner and my Dre jersey. This week, I can’t get enough of BRB. You guys have made me laugh, cry, ache, reminisce, and laugh some more, and every night I’m hustling to get my kids to bed so I can see what the next dude wrote today. This has been an incredible week to be a Texans fan, and an awesome week for BRB. On behalf of all the everyday schmoes who lurk regularly and post occasionally, I’d like to say THANKS to those of you who operate and write for this blog. You guys rock. I can only imagine to what heights this place will be taken if we kick some Bengal ass this weekend. Let’s do this.

Now if we could just do something about all those Texans articles…

Don't Worry, PUD
There’s bound to be plenty of Colts talk once these pesky playoffs wrap up.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

I agree wholeheartedly
thank you all for the blog in general, and this week in particular… I have spent an unhealthy amount of time on BRB this week haha
Rec'd
And I agree. Thanks to all the writers here for the weekly content that keeps us coming back and hanging together! This week has been fantastic!
Rec'd for all the hardwork
I am fairly lazy and just love to read all of blogs, but this is the only one I have ever made a name for. I really enjoy all the articles and personalities on Battle Red Blog. The amount of information and humor you guys provide for not only the casual fan, but hardcore fans is on a level excellence that has kept me coming back since late 08. Please accept my most heartfelt gratitude, o exalted ones of BattleRedBlog. May Durga keep bringing you the success that is so richly deserved.
Thank You All
If you weren’t taking the time to read and comment, it’d just be us talking to ourselves. Moreso than usual, anyway.

Tim, thanks for your patience with all of us
as we swing from calm analysts to emotional powder kegs and back again. And for helping to hold the line to keep it clean, safe and fun around here.

Verbal rec!
This place is awesome! Even though we get the occasional commenter escape from the basement (you really need to get better security Tim), an even rarer Methopotamian who isn’t on crack, and Jags fans (because we know they aren’t at the games), you guys have created one of the best places around on this thing called the internet!

Well to be fair, if you were stuck with a bunch of Colts fans, wouldn't you chew a hole through the floor, too?

Don't you mean
one of the three Jags fans still in existence?
Well it goes both ways.
The last few posts I’ve written have been more or less from the soul (or the closest thing I have to one) and when you do that the worst possible thing is that nobody notices. But the response has been great, and I really appreciate it.
I look at the guys I share the masthead with and I know that, largely as a result of their efforts, this is one of the top sports sites on the web. Period. And it would only be half as awesome without the great body of commentators that have found refuge in this corner of the internets. It truly makes a difference.
So thank you all as well.
Never use a metaphor, simile, or other figure of speech which you are used to seeing in print.
Never use a long word where a short one will do.
If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out.
Never use the passive where you can use the active.
Never use a foreign phrase, a scientific word, or a jargon word if you can think of an everyday English equivalent.
Break any of these rules sooner than say anything outright barbarous.
