Since a certain nameless JET decided to end Cushing's season in a manner that we can all agree should have earned a suspension or at least a fine, the Texans have been forced to sign Barrett Rudd. I am sure most of BRB knows a little about Rudd since he spent some time in Tenn. He will bring some leadership but reports state that the Texans will keep Big Tim D starting with Rudd there only to add depth. I like the signing given the circumstance. Rudd has spent time in NO and Tampa, so he has been around and always seems to find his way onto a roster.

His stats say that he is a run stopper. Recording over 130 tackles in 08 and 09, only 5 career sacks and 7 INT. He is no Cushing neither is BIg Tim though. I think this was a reasonable signing.

Lastly with Holiday being cut and Cushing going to IR, we should see another signing or someone from the practice squad getting bumped up to the team. I dont know who it will be, but we should expect another move soon.
