Loosing to a good team is OK, it happens always, but what the kittens with the defensive/looser mentality and the play calling.
For example we are 3rd and 13, and Schaub gets the ball, there is no pressure on him and he looks around a few times and throws it to the ground. WTF??? Why not scramble a little and try to see whether one of the guys down-field would get open? Why not try and run towards the side line and try to get a few more yards so that there is a chance, a chance of a 4th down play? Where as Rogers would scramble and escape pressure and make a throw for a completion our guy would rather throw it in the rough even with no pressure.
Also, why give up and play yates when there is 6 minutes left on the clock and we are only behind by 18 points. WTF? If it was any other team they would have given a try for 2 touch downs and a field goal. I mean, 2 TDs in 6 minutes is not impossible by any stretch of the imagination. You are going to loose anyways, why not try?
And also what's with the play calling? When are we ever going to "use" Casey? When are we ever going to try and get foster downfield matched up with a LB?
I think the last few games softned us up. See how the Pack played even when they were 2 scores ahead. They made big throws, they took chances. When ever we go ahead by even a score we would always go all conservative. I think all that conservative playcalling has made us inept at playing attacking offense and when we need such attacking offence (like today) we go all numb and soft. YIKES!!!!
